This travel system is fantastic. We've had so many compliments on it and people asking us where it's from. This travel system was brought for us by my husbands parents and at first they were a little skeptical of it with it being cheaper than other brands, as they helped us with our search for a travelsystem but they've also fallen in love with it. We picked this pram because we wanted something light weight and something that would fold up nicely as when our little one arrived my husband owned a Ford KA, so we needed something a little smaller. We have since upgraded our car, but this travel system is perfect for our needs as our little girl is currently six weeks old. With this pram being light weight, we couldn't ask for anything better as I had a csection and was easily able to move this pram between our house and car as needed. The only downside to this travel system is the fact that the instructions could be clearer. We ended up taking it to our local mothercare store (where we purchased the pram from) to ask for help and it was something that was easily fixed but wasn't clear in the instructions. Overall, we are very pleased with this travel system and couldn't ask for anything better. It's exactly what we wanted without the more expensive price tag

We got this pushchair at first I was abit worried at first as it was one of the cheaper travel systems , but we have now had the product over 7 months and have had no issues we go for long walks in bumpy areas it’s easy to push and lightweight . My baby is content in the pushchair I like she can sit up and lay right back when sleeping . I would defiantly buy this pushchair again.

Being on a budget, this pram was an instant go to, and after trialling it around Mothercare, we knew it was the right product for us.
The car seat and bassenette are so easy to slot into the frame, and easily interchangeable. The car seat is a little trickier to strap into the car but after a few practices ( before the little one was born!) It was very straightforward.

When considering a pram there were just so many to choose from and I couldn’t justify spending nearly a thousand pounds when this travel system was £299!
It was fairly easy to piece together, I would have liked for some written instructions as the instructions are just images so there is no language barrier.
This pram is very easy to steer and to get up kerbs, you can swap the carrycot to the car seat very easily as they just clip on. On this particular pram the carrycot turns into the seat and can be either parent or world facing. We are still using the carrycot part of the system but to change to the seat is really easy you unzip the liner and attach the straps and fold the carry cot part up and clip to together. The hood which is attached to the carrycot/seat extends a little further if you unzip it which is helpful for blocking out the sun. Also, on the hood there is a flap which allows you to peek in without needing to move the hood.
The basket on the pram is large enough to hold the matching change bag, raincover and an umbrella. I really like the extra flap pocket which has a magnet to close it.
Sometimes the brake doesn’t go on straight away if the wheels aren’t exactly aligned. Also, the raincover which comes with the pram tears very easily, we had used it a handful of times before a huge split came. Luckily Mothercare were excellent with their customer service and sent out a replacement one.
The car seat with this travel system is suitable until around 15months of age, I have used this on shorter journeys and when travelling in other people’s cars. It keeps my baby safe and he enjoys being able to see a little more of his surroundings whilst out and about. I purchased extra a raincover just for the car seat too.

Before my little one was born i had my heart set on buying an icandy pram but then came across this pram and automatically fell in love. This pram has a great design and not only looks amazing but is also great value for money. This pram comes with a carry cot which can then be converted into a seat which can face forward or face you. What is also amazing about this pram is that it comes with a car seat which means you dont have to worry about extra expenses to buy one. I have used the car seat many times and my little is also snug and comfortable. It comes with removable padding and is very easy to use. The basket at the bottom of the pram is a good size and great for when going shopping. I have had this pram for over a year now and there is not a lot of wear and tear, there are a few scratches on the handle bar but that's about it. The handle bar is also adjustable which is great. I am quite short and so found it really good that i could lower the handle bar which enabled me to push the pram comfortably. The sun hood is also extendable for those really sunny days and has a zipper which enables extra length of the hood which is great. I really recommend this travel system.

    Absolutely amazing pram !

I love the fact that it comes with a car seat that can be attached to the pram with ease, a duo pram seat that is suitable from birth upwards and a super easy system to fold away is just amazing,

I love mine and cannot fault it!

Fantastic product- the car seat is great and slots into the frame- along side the carrycot/bassinet part which converts easily into the seated part. Very lightweight and easy to push, my younger siblings live that they are able to push their niece without struggling. Extendable handle means that my 6ft4 fiancé has no trouble pushing as he doesn’t need to lean down. All round a wonderful push chair ??

Had soo many prams with my first child, testing them out and different brands. Then I
was about to have a second child and really loved the look of the mother care journey and the colour, and the fact that it is all in one. Soo easy to use. Lovely and smooth to push. Can be used as a carry cot and a pram seat within seconds and very easy to do so. Overall I love this pram.

When my sister got this travel system with my niece I didn’t think much of it until I was the one that was having to use it during baby sitting duties. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the whole system. The suspension makes for great movement in and around lumpy bumpy areas, up and down pavements etc. It’s not too bulky or too big but big enough to fit everything you need with the added extra of a clip for all the shopping! The basket underneath is very handy for quick storage and the ease of baby to car when using the car seat is great - no big kerfuffle. It’s easy to fold and put away and only took 20 minutes to assemble from brand new. My boyfriend and I enjoyed using the system so much that now we are expecting our own little one we decided to get the exact same one! Colour choices are also great, although we just went for black and chrome. The colour doesn’t fade, the wheels last, the frame is sturdy, the brakes work a treat. Overall a great experience using the system, we can’t wait to be using it ourselves again.

Looks great and more expensive then it is. Good to be able to clip the car seat only the base

    • Weaknesses:

When folded takes up alot of room in the boot. Rain cover doesn't attach so can blow off in the wind

We brought this travel system after being recommend by my sister who has the 3 wheeler.
It is great however there are a few things that I think could be changed to make life easier.
The base folds down well but the pram base doesn't go any smaller and is quite large so takes up alot of room in the boot of the car. Also the rain cover just slips over the pram therefore if it is windy you have to have one hand on the rain cover to stop it blowing off.

I bought this travel system and was a bit wary with how cheap it wasn’t compared to other travel systems. I was pleasantly surprised! It was amazing. It was very easy to set up, and looked simple and gorgeous. It was very sturdy and easy to push and my son was very comfortable in it. The only downside is the wheels. I found stones sometimes got stuck in the wheels because of the material. If they were rubber it would help this problem.

The pram is a good value for money as it will last until baby is walking. We got ours in the sale and it’s probably the best product we have bought, baby is comfy in pram as there is enough room for him.

This Pram is a fantastic Pram I love how it converts from a carry cot to a Pram base without having all these extra pieces to add on to it was so easy to change from the carrycot part to the Pram. It’s very easy to put up and take down and I love that it can be used with the car seat on the frame for quick trips to the shops in the car instead of having to disturb baby if sleeping I just put the car seat on the frame for easiness

This product is easy to use and as first time parents this was a great opetion and for the price we are not complaining. It goes from car seat all the way to toddler age with the option of parent faceing and world facing. The one problem my partner had was the front wheels he was forgetting to unlock them and was putting alot of strain on the chrome handlebars weakening the frame. I would suggest if you get this pram you keep the wheels on permanent unlock so they are free to swivel making the journey smoother for you and baby.

This pram is really good for its money. It does save you money as it's a carry cot and transfers to pram. It is a bit annoying that it's in 2 parts but alot of prams are.

My mum and dad bought me this pram for my little newborn and I absolutely love it. I got it in a maroon colour and it just looks wonderful. We got a free changing bag with it. Great value for money don’t think I’ll have to buy another pram/pushchair/car seat. Car seat is easy to move and ver straight forward to use. The pram itself is easy to fold up and it folds right down and is easy to get into smaller boots/spaces. Love this product would highly recommend everyone to get one.

This pram is amazing definitely good quality for the price. It’s a spacious travel system ideal if you have a bigger baby but at the same time is not so big you can’t get into small shops and on public transport easily. The frame is really sturdy and the suspension is brilliant (ideal for those long walks). The pram is fairly easy to put down although the seat and car seat need to be removed prior to folding the chassis. The adjustable handle on this pram is brilliant especially if you have other children that want to push the baby. The basket is abit small but you can still fit a couple of bags of shopping underneath. I would highly recommended this travel system and my son seems to love it aswell.

I really enjoyed having the mothercare journey as my first pram for my son but as he got older from 9 months plus he didnt seem to look right in the seat unit also the frame snaped on me as he got older slightly dangerous... as a new born it's a great pram to use tho. Extremely easy to fold and fold really compact wouldn't have a pram if it didnt fold compact. I would recommend this pram for new borns but not from 9 months plus.

I love the mothercare journey. This is baby number 4 for us and we have had a wide range of pushchairs over the years but this has to be the favourite.

It's so easy to transform from carrycot to pushchair mode.

Height adjustable handle means our 7 year old can push his brother and equally so can 6ft 7 daddy.

So my baby is now 5 months old and this is her pushchair and car seat I’ve used from birth, we have the sand colour, I do love this pushchair I feel like it’s light and very easy to steer, the car seat is also good, it’s a nice pushchair to look at and definitely looks pricier than what it is (very good value for money), the downfall I have with this pram is it isn’t very compact so make sure you have a empty boot space or a big enough boot for the pram and your shopping !, I also love how the leg part adjusts if the baby is sitting in an upright position, we will continue to use this pram we do love it !
  • 2.75/5
    • Strengths:

Lie down cot is snuggly with liner

    • Weaknesses:

      Multiple!

    • Easy to steer
    • Value for money
    • Easy to fold
    • Built to last
I purchased this travel system as a first time mum and it's fair to say I wouldn't buy it again. Price wise is great, you get a lot for your money however, it's not great quality. It scratched and dented very easily. It was such a pain having to take out so many parts when going in the car. The carseat is small and heavy. The lie down cot is small and doesnt have use very long. When converted to a seat, it doesnt sit up right enough for little one to see everything and it also isn't very long. For a first pram it was good, but I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

Description

The Mothercare 4-Wheel Journey Travel System includes a Group 0+ car seat and pushchair suitable from birth to 15kg.

The 4-wheel pushchair features a convertible pram to pushchair seat unit which can be used from birth- a pram liner and apron are both included to keep your little one cosy and comfy on their first outings.

The seat unit with removable bumper bar is both parent and forward facing.

A cosy, coordinating footmuff and mothercare weathershield raincover are included with a spacious, detachable shopping basket and convenient magnetic pouch providing good storage.

To use the journey as a travel system simply attach the group 0+ car seat which features side impact protection and is suitable from birth.

The car seat should always be fitted into your vehicle rearward facing and secured with the seatbelt.

For newborns, the included liner and wedge can be used and removed from the car seat as your child grows.

The front swivel wheels allow the journey to glide easily over smooth surfaces making it easy to manoeuvre and when pushing on bumpy pavements or over rougher ground the wheels can then be locked into a fixed position to make steering the pushchair simple.

A height adjustable handle allows it to be comfortably pushed by parents of different heights.

The mothercare journey is free standing and small in size when folded and the removable wheels provide the option of freeing up even more space.
