This pram was given to us as a gift and I'm very greatful but it's not what I would choose myself. It looks quite nice. It's not great, but it does the job. Once you learn it's flaws it's easier to operate. After first week of using it, the extendable handle bar snapped and the foam started coming off. Mothercare was great and took it in for a repair, giving us a temporary replacement and it was fixed in couple of weeks. You can really feel the bumps on the road, it's not very bouncy. 1 thing I'd say to look out for is the detacheable roof on the car seat. It comes off really easily and the metal side of it scratched my newborns face. The newborn insert was alraight but as soon as we turned it in to a buggy I knew it would be a problem. I was hoping that it would last us couple of years but my baby is 7 months now and she's almost outgrown the buggy already. Her head already touches the roof. I asked a lady in Mothercare if there is a way of extending it but unfortunately not and she said her baby has outgrown hers by that age as well. It folds very easily but mind your fingers..ouch! Also sometimes it locks and can't pop it back up easily. And the warm insert makes the baby slide down even when she's strapped in. So I would only recommend it if you need to fit the budget.

So easy to use - to fold, to take wheels off, to swap between the pushchair and flat bed

We have been so impressed with this pushchair, it’s great to steer (even one handed), really easy to fold down, really easy to swap between the flat bed and actual pushchair. The rain covers it comes with are great and the whole system just looks really nice. It’s sturdy and easy to clean. The basket underneath also has loads of room which is really helpful if you’re out shopping

I had the mothercare journey with my little boy from when he was a new born and I am so happy I chose that pram, it was very sturdy, a very easy pram to stear and a good value for your money, I was very happy with the way you can choose loads of different colours and that for only £299 you get a car seat raincover 2 foot muffs carry cot and pram seat the only downfall with this pram was I thought it was a pain to fold but once you get the hand of it, it’s easier.

    • Strengths:

Seat transforms into stages as baby grows which saves on storing extra parts

    • Weaknesses:

We absolutely love the journey, it's well made, the suspension is great and my son loves it.
It came with a free liner when we bought it which made it extra cosy when Harrison was new born. The space under the pram is great and has expanded now we have altered Harrison's sitting position, as he is now able to sit and it very interested in seeing the world. This position is quite fully unright and gives him lots of support.
We loved the fact we didn't have to store the next stage part as we live in a flat and we also love the fact we can pop him in the car seat and pop that on the frame, perfect for quick trips out in the car.
The only thing that lets it down is the rain cover, it ripped when we put it on, and doesn't attach to the frame which means when it is windy it can flap and even blows off.

I absolutely love this travel system, we looked around at a lot, prices ranging from 300 to 1000 pounds and we are so happy we went for this one. The car seat is fantastic and it is so easy to put onto the pram wheels. The fact we can change the pram as our son grows was the selling point for us and we didn’t need 2 separate pram toppers.

Highly recommended and also affordable. I purchased the teal colour and love it. Also came with a free changing bag that's worth £40 and liner for £20 that is used in the carry cot.

I purchased this travel system for my son. It has been a reliable sturdy and comfortable pram and pushchair. It has various recline positions when in pushchair mode and a supportive harness. I love the fact you can put the car seat on the wheels so if you’re making a quick trip you don’t need to take the whole pram. As I don’t drive I needed something that was going to last me and be worth the money and this was 100% the right choice of pram. I have walked miles with it and it’s still in perfect condition. I recommend purchasing this if you’re looking for something with good quality but for a smaller price.

Great pram easy to fold and put up. Had adapters so you can use either the carrycot/seat or the car seat which is great for after a car journey. My LO grew out of the carrycot by 4 months mainly because he was very long. Other than the seat seeming a bit small its an excellent pushchair.

Description

The Mothercare 4-Wheel Journey Travel System includes a Group 0+ car seat and pushchair suitable from birth to 15kg.

The 4-wheel pushchair features a convertible pram to pushchair seat unit which can be used from birth- a pram liner and apron are both included to keep your little one cosy and comfy on their first outings.

The seat unit with removable bumper bar is both parent and forward facing.

A cosy, coordinating footmuff and mothercare weathershield raincover are included with a spacious, detachable shopping basket and convenient magnetic pouch providing good storage.

To use the journey as a travel system simply attach the group 0+ car seat which features side impact protection and is suitable from birth.

The car seat should always be fitted into your vehicle rearward facing and secured with the seatbelt.

For newborns, the included liner and wedge can be used and removed from the car seat as your child grows.

The front swivel wheels allow the journey to glide easily over smooth surfaces making it easy to manoeuvre and when pushing on bumpy pavements or over rougher ground the wheels can then be locked into a fixed position to make steering the pushchair simple.

A height adjustable handle allows it to be comfortably pushed by parents of different heights.

The mothercare journey is free standing and small in size when folded and the removable wheels provide the option of freeing up even more space.
