We have had this for quite some time as I got it when on offer it has sat and waited until we needed it and that time is now! The cot bars are down!! Amazingly my 3 year old stays put in his room while the stars are on so far we have had no wake up calls from him at crazy o’clock as he is happy playing until I go in and get him.
The clock is simple to use and like I say so far effective long may it continue.

If you wish you can set up a day time nap on the clock as well as the bed time with the sun out at wake up time, the clock doesn’t have the sun on all day as it just shows the time. It uses led lights so doesn’t cost lots to run either. I would like to maybe have an option to out batteries in it to save wires being every where but this is the only fault I can see with this item.
My little boy loves seeing both the stars and the sunshine on the clock (especially the sun as this is get up time.

We love the Gro click, with it our son knows when he can wake up. It also has been helping him with telling the time.

With the bright summer evening ms and early mornings, the sun and moon helps him identify what time of day it is

This clock was a game changer for our family. Little book is lovely and it's short.
The clock is easy to set up and once your ready to put your little one to bed it's a push of a button and the clock change a to night mode.
I feel that the only thing missing is a temperature gage however the Gro company also have the Egg (which we also have)
The clock shines a blue light at night which can be adjusted however even on the lowest setting is fairly bright but this now works in our favour as my little boy is scared if the dark.

When my little boy who is 2 years old started to wake at 5am each morning asking for porridge we decided to do our research and up popped the gro clock along with lots of good reviews. We have found it to be a useful night light and an easy visual way to teach time to our little boy and reinforce his bedtime routine. He says night night to mr sun as we turn it to night and we ask him to return to bed in the morning until mr sun is back again. For his age he is grasping this concept well. My only negatives would be that it has to be set to night each time we send him to bed. It would be much easier to programme it once and it work back through the full 24 hours again. The programming can be a little tricky too to begin with. All in all a clever and very helpful product which my little boy is enjoying too.

Great clock, it has helped both boys get into a good sleep routine. Helps them in telling the time and when night time and day time starts. Recommended to many, great product!
    Great as a nightlight too.

I read a lot of reviews on these before taking the plunge. We were finding that the children were getting up at five no matter what, this has helped them to understand that they might need to play quietly in their room for a bit before getting up. The whole house is happier. I know in some reviews parents have commented on the light level but it suits our family, it really hasn't been an issue. I wish I had spent the money months ago!

My daughter was getting up really early sometimes 4am, she didn’t understand reasonable times to wake. Especially in summer when it was early mornings the clock helped as the picture stayed a moon until the time you select then the sun would rise so they know it’s time to get up. The alarm is also great now too as my daughter has started school so gives her some independence getting up.

After a week away and my toddler then deciding that he wasn’t going to stay in his own bed all night anymore I got a groclock on the recommendation of other mums and it’s he best money I’ve ever spent. The story you read with it explains it really well and my boy was really engaged with it. After 3 nights he stayed in his bed until the “sun came up” on him clock. We took it with us whenever we slept somewhere new, be that a hotel or Grannies house and he still settled and stayed in bed whereas before and change would unsettled him and he’d be in our bed all night.

    Can’t recommend highly enough.

At this point i would have been willing to pay any price asked to help my child sleep. I have a beautifully energetic wild child who is in the go all day and is not a fan of sleep. As he is now at school we knew we needed something to help him at night and stop him getting our of bed before it was time to wake or he would just be exhausted.

This clock is lovely and so easy for him to understand. We have gone from waking most nights to now staying in bed 4/5 nights a week until the sun rises which jas made the transition to school much easier for him.
As a heads up it did take as a few months of master looking at the clock before leaving his room so worth bearing with it if it feels like its not working at first.

My little boy was a early riser 5am to be precise ? we tried everything then we read about the gro clock. He now knows when the clock shows the sun he can get out of bed he also loves turning the light to blue for bedtime and he gets into bed happily. It took a while but was so happy when he cracked it. Can't recommend enough.

This clock has been amazing through the summer months! It has meant we get an extra half an hour in bed of a morning!! Although I find the light quite bright, my 4 year old seems to enjoy having a night light so he can get a drink with ease. The product is child designed so it is easy for them to understand especially with the little book that comes with it!

The Gro-clock is a simple concept allowing toddlers to understand when it is nighttime and when it is morning and time to get up. The display changes from blue to yellow at your programmed time to signify it is time to get up. This has meant our toddler has stayed in her room for longer in the mornings and has settled quicker if she wakes in the night. A great price tag for precious extra time in bed!!

The only tiny downside is that even on the lowest setting I find the display is quite a bright nightlight.

This product is so useful! Especially for winters, My toddler used to wake up so early. Now due to the clock, she is well trained and i get to sleep the extra hours on weekends. She enjoys her sleep clock a lot and is an added bonus as she sleeps well in her own room waiting for the sun to appear. Highly recommend to parents with toddlers!

My daughter began waking up throughout the night thinking it was time to get up. On recommendation we bought this clock and it worked wonders, however as she got older she began to fiddle with the buttons and change settings which wasn't helpful. Setting the clock itself was confusing and there are too many pushes of buttons etc-if it was the same time everyday then maybe it would be simpler but we don't have a simple life! When taken to grandparents and unplugged it was a trial to reset it.
The positives however far outweigh the setting, as once it was working it proved to be effective. It clearly showed night and day using images (although the back light was slightly bright) and the stars counted down to show if it was along way off morning or not too long to wait. There was a cute book that came with it too which helped the initial understanding. The digital clock was useful too and linked it saying once the sun comes on at 6. It helped build on my daughters number recognition skills and gave her a good foundation for time and number. She know now to wait for the 6! Good value and helped to 'sleep train' my daughter whilst helping with mathematical skills. We have recommended this to others

Great clock and book that tells a nice story to explain to the child to stay in bed.
I found the buttons are a bit confusing and i had to use the manual a few times to get the hang of it.
Is a bit pricey but great value if it helps you little one stay in bed.

Having been regularly subjected to our 18-24 month old’s assertion that it was definitely morning at 4.30am, we invested in a gro clock for the toddler. It comes with a little story about a pig who is too tired to play with his friends because his sleep pattern is poor. It does this in pretty lame rhyming couplets but despite my reservations (I’ve since hid it as I can’t face reading it any more now my daughter has the concept) the toddler loved it. After two nights of “is the sun up yet?” Calls from her bedroom on day 3 she played quietly in her bed until “Mr Sun” rose at 7am. We didn’t believe it could get any better until, one hungover holiday morning we adjusted the time until 8.00 and, after a late bedtime, she stayed put until then!

Saying goodnight to mr sun is now a key part of the bedtime routine and apart from a minor blip where the toddler decided to “look” (I.e. press every button several times) in the middle of the night resulting in her rousing the sun at 1am(!), we haven’t looked back from this purchase. It has bought us HOURS of sleep weekly! Definitely worth placing it out of the way of small hands though.
Our only wish is that it came with an app or remote so that you could adjust the wake time should you need that additional 20 minutes kip!

We have just started using this product, my daughter understands the blue means night & yellow means wake up - the only problem I have (and I'm sure its user error) is setting the clock each day. It is quite fiddly & frustrating.
Little book is great and lovely bedtime read.

My daughter was a dreaded early riser so we got one of these to see if it would help. She now understands that she shouldn't get up until the sun comes up and that turning the light to blue means bedtime. I love that you can set it for naps too that was great and the little book it comes with is also good to help them understand. We have gradually got later and later so we are at 6:30 now which is a bit more manageable. It took a while but was great when summer arrived to associated bedtime with the blue light and not outside being dark.

This product helps to keep kids in bed as you set the sun to come up at a time that you want. I say that they have to stay in their bed until the moon goes away and the sun appears on the clock. They seem to find it quite fun waiting for the sun to come up and it stops them getting up at silly o'clock!

My son started experiencing night time terrors.. I heard about this night light and introduced it into his bedtime routine. We read the book and he pressed the buttons to say goodbye to “mr sun” and hello to “mr star” a light glow filled the room (my son doesn’t like the dark) and he understood that he can’t get up until he sees “mr sun” on the clock again. Our Kat night terror was in January 2018 where we had it nightly for over a week and have not had since then and introducing this clock. It’s like a miracle - well is for us anyway. We use it for nap times as well where separate times can be inputted and stored on a different setting. For a non technical person like myself it was easy to set up and use and looks great in his room, it has been knocked over a couple of times off his stool but really well made. I’ve recommended it to my friends who have all gone and bought as well when they have encountered sleep issues and all have been really happy with it. My boy self settles at 19:30 and doesn’t get up until 07:15 so yes this is definitely a highly recommended product!

I bought this for my son when he was 2 because he was getting up quite early and since using the gro clock he has woken up at the time set ever since! It’s simple to use and the time and alarm can be set or changed easily.

For a child who can’t read a clock yet this is amazing to make sure they don’t get out of bed ready for the day at 5am! My daughter knows the sun isn’t out yet so it is bedtime, the colours are soothing, and with the mini stars she can count down how many hours are left till getting up time. Worked for us from day one!!

Description

The Gro Clock is the perfect nursery accessory. Designed for children who are too young to read an ordinary clock, the Gro-clock uses the sun and moon to explain the difference between night and day. The images encourage children to stay in bed longer as they learn to "Stay in bed until you see the sun".
