I chose to use a cold water steriliser this time round (3rd baby and previously used steam) as I wanted something that I could use all the time. So I can fill it up in the morning and use it all day without having to change the water. I’ve even taken it on holiday with. It’s fits around 6 bottles (size dependent). Best bit it only takes 15 mins to sterilise the bottles. - Strengths:

I bought this after leaving the hospital and getting very stressed trying to work out a sterilising unit. For me its straight forward. I can put items in and take them out without all the other items becoming un sterilised. The only thing i need to remember is to empty and re-fill it every 24 hours - Strengths:

This is a great product to use especially when travelling where you may not have access to a microwave , it is very quick and easy to use all you need is cold water and a sterilising tablet , I recently used this for the first time when I went to a wedding and stayed in a hotel and did not have microwave access for my normal steriliser I was a bit sceptical about using this but it worked perfectly. - Strengths:

I bought this to go abroad with as it is very light and didn't take up space in suitcase as I just filled it with nappies. (Unused of course :) ) No hastle of boiling the kettle as uses cold water and holds 6 bottles. I use tommee tippee bottles and they fit perfectly even though they are bulky. - Strengths:

So we have just returned from holiday And this was a god send! My little one was just approaching 6 months at the time of travel and I was panicking about how I was going to sterilise her bottles, when I noticed this in boots and though perfect. I must admit it took up loads of space in the suitcase, but to combat this I pack things inside it, but it’s super light so no issues there. It was easy to use just pop the Milton tablet in along with the bottles and your all set. I used it as a sort of bottle storage so I knew were everything was and . It only takes 15 minutes to sterilise the bottles and you can leave them in the water for up to 24 hours. I would say the only downside was I was buying bottles of water as I didn’t want to use the tap water abroad and it uses 5 litres a day, but other than that not a bad word to say about it, and since I’ve used it so many Mum friends have went out a bought one. Excellent super easy and quick to sterilise the bottles and dummies. Looks nice and not as bulky as the old ones. I use it instead of the steam steriliser as I tend to burn myself a lot and this is just as easy anyway. The fill line is a bit hard to see so I just stuck a little sticker at it problem solved. If you are not using bottles, and you need dummies, or nipple shields sterilised constantly, it is a bit more practical than steam sterilisers. Bucket is quite big for a few bottles in case you need them in the future. You change the water every 24 hours, you can use half a pill/half a bucket if you have small things. And once in the water, you have the stuff sterile in 15 mins. - Strengths:

Such a simple and easy system. Fill the tub at the beginning of the day, add the Milton fluid or tablets, chuck in the items to be sterilised and in 15 mins they are good to go. You can leave them in the water until you need them. My health visitor said it was the most reliable form of sterilisation available. So easy to scoop out a small tub of the sterilised water, with dummies in to take out with you for the day so you can sterilise dropped dummies on the go too. Would recommend. - Strengths:

We love this steriliser. We used an electric one with my first born but after a few months use it kept turning the water brown. We switched to the Milton cold water steriliser and have used it for all three kids. You just fill it up with cold water and put a tablet it and it is done. We use Dr Brown bottles and it didn't fit 6 in with all the accessories so we took the tray out and out everything in. Would highly recommend for anyone - Strengths:

Literally the best steriliser
Fill it with cold water pop in a Milton tablet let it dissolve and off u go.. the water lasts 24hours so hassle unlike the microwave ones where the bottles only last 6 hours - Strengths:

This is the best baby product I’ve purchased. I started with some self sterilising bottles for my son, but because I used to put a lot of them in the microwave at a time and I’d close the door afterwards, the amount of steam and condensation left ended up rusting the inside of my microwave! I decided on giving this product a try. I was a bit apprehensive and because I’d never researched it I was under the impression it was fussy and complicated. I was so wrong! I absolutely love my Milton steriliser. The bucket itself is large enough for a good number of bottles and all parts. I manage 4/5 dr browns bottles with all parts if I put them in right, but will easily fit in more smaller sized bottles. The money I’ve saved on electricity is a game changer for me too, as the sterilising fluid and tablets for this are so inexpensive, a long with the bucket itself. It’s easy to clean, and easy to empty out because of the lid design and the lip on the bucket. No more messing around with hot water and I can dip things in and out all day as the solution lasts a full 24 hours. I wish I’d bought this in the first place! Would definitely recommend to anybody, and not just for travelling, this is perfect for your main steriliser! It takes 5ltr water per sterilising tablet or capful of the fluid, only takes 15 minutes for the products to sterilise, and you just take the parts out and shake off the solution - no need to wipe as the solution is perfectly safe for baby. - Strengths:

This is a good product due to its portability and ease of use, however the Milton tablets make tests/bottles etc smell and taste funny. In comparison to microwave sterilisers, this product is not very good due to the chemically taste.
I wouldn’t recommend this product as baby is aware of the funny taste and this far out weighs the ease of use. - Strengths:

I wish I had discovered cold water sterilising earlier! You just fill up the tub, add your tablets and then add your products! You are then set for 24hours! The only downside is that the basin is heavy when full but it hasn’t bothered me when using this product. You can easily fit 6 bottles into it (I have fit more in) and bottles are safe to use straight away. - Strengths:

I had no idea how good they are until stayed in hospital and midwife gave small pot with sterilising liquid and said it can be used for 24hrs. I was amazed and after doing my research realised that its Milton!!! Basically fill in this bucket with 5lt of clean water, put in 1 milton tablet and its good to go for 24hrs!
No microwife required, not hot to handle so can take items after 15min of sterilising and use the water for the rest of the day.

As the title states i wish i knew about cold water sterilising before. I'm using this with my 3rd child after previously using an electric steamer. This container is ideal for cold water sterilising, we use mam bottles and although we can only fit 5 big bottles because we can keep adding over the 24hr hours we just add in when we take one out. - Strengths:

I have been doing cold water sterilising for a few months now, after trying other ways.
This tub us a great size. .it holds quite a few bottles and I also put other baby bits in throughout the day.

I love this product. I have twins, and started with a steam steriliser which was constantly on and constantly needing descaling. I purchased two of these (on offer with tablets) and havent looked back. Being sterile for 24 hours is fantastic; bottles are washed and ready to use within 15 minutes for when needed. It's low maintenance and, in my opinion, best for baby as no risks of limescale residue on bottles. Also easy for dummies being cleaned nice and quickly.

I had originally bought a steam sterilizer. After spending 10 weeks in hospital with my preemie this is what the nhs use for sterilizing bottles. I had gotten so used to using this product I bought one. It is so simple to use and bottles are sterilized quick and effectively. I fill up every night at 9pm and it lasts 24 hours. Anything is sterile in 15mins and it's hot like a steam Steriliser. Ideal for a dropped dummy or needing to make a feed quickly if you've forgotten to wash a bottle. Milton is also very cheap we use the liquid. - Strengths:
