I loved my TENS machine so much I was distraught when I had to take it off when taken to the labour ward. It helped me through major contracts for 24 hours and meant I got a little bit of sleep thought that. My husband placed the pads on my back but they needed to be taped on after a while but this did not stop it getting me through a long labour with only TENS and gas and air. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
I used this in the early stages of labour and it worked wonders at dulling the pain - you can increase the strength easily. I bought extra pads from amazon and didn’t need them in the end - the ones supplied last a long time. I did need help sticking them in the right place on my back though!
Would definitely recommend this Tens machine for early labour and contractions. The midwife placed the pads on my lower back and there are settings to adjust the intensity alongside the intensity of contractions. I wouldn't go through labour again without one. It has a clip so you can attach it to your clothing. Definitely helped with pain relief.
I borrowed this model from a friend who had hired one for her first child then brought one when she was expecting her second. This little machine was so helpful during my pregnancy it helped so much to get through the Contractions, I lent mine to my sister in law recently for her second and told her she needed it, it's something that should be top priority in your hospital bag, I'm so glad I now have my own if we're lucky enough to have a second.
