My newborn is loving this mat already. It's been great to use for tummy time with a comfy base, textured fabrics and easy to clean material. The hanging toys will be great for babies when they can focus and respond. The lights and music are great for settling baby and the lights become interactive with kick pads and hanging toggles. A great playmat and definitely worth the price.1

I picked this play mat partly because the colours are less in your face and more in line with my home decor.. and secondly because babies love lights and sensory. The lights and mirror element is brill and faultless but only complaint is that the other little toys to hang are really drab and all the same - there needs to be more variety in textures to go with the rest of the mat.

We absolutely love this product! Our little boy has developed so much since playing with it. From his attention span (watching the lights), grabbing with his hands and kicking the sound operated buttons. It plays different tunes which are all relaxing and not annoying (which is rare in children's toys!) It has been our best baby purchase so far!

I bought this second had as I couldn’t justify the price when we already had a play mat from our first baby. This is a HUGE hit. Used daily and after 4mths we haven’t had to change the batteries. It’s lights up and reacts to baby kicking the hanging tags or kick plate which our little girl LOVES. The mat itself washes and dries nice and quickly. Only draw back is the bendy poles tend to wear through their cover towards the base which has also happened on our other Mamas and Papas play mat.

I bought this playmat before my baby was born as it was the best one I'd seen. From about 5 weeks by baby started using this and he still uses it now at 7 months. It was the most expensive one I'd seen at the time at almost £100 but my baby has got a lot of use out of it and it's kept him entertained so worth it in my opinion. It's quite big so plenty of room for you baby, the actual mat has the crinkly noise inside it, a mirror, a squeaker and some ribbons attached to it which my baby loves to fiddle with and chew. The selling point of this may is the arch over the top which has dangling but that when the baby kicks of hits sets off different music and light sequences. My baby loves it and it can keep him occupied for ages which is always good for busy mums. The music can be changed from buttons on the outside of the arch also the volume can be adjusted. You can also play your own music on it by plugging your phone it, personally i haven't really used this feature but it's nice to have the option. Haven't really got anything bad to say about it, keeps baby entertained and looks a bit more classy in the living room than some of the other garish play mats on the market.

My 4 month old absolutely loves this mamas and papas stargaze play mat, it is comfortable and well designed with beautiful colours, he loves the interactive tap toys that change the light show and music. It’s fab to be able to attach iPod to this mat and play their favourite songs, also music casettes are purchasable from mamas and papas too! We use this mat daily so it’s always out but should we store it we would need to collapse it into parts which could be annoying for some individuals who don’t have space. Overall I feel that the mat is worth the money, cheaper alternatives are out there but do not host all of the wonderful features this mat has!

Our baby used this from day 1. He loved to watch the flashing lights and as he got older relished the control it gave him. The sound cartridges also come in foreign language packs so you can let your baby kick away on their mat and interact with the different noises in French, German, Italian or English. It comes with lots of different hanging toys and the mat itself is multitextured so the baby can feel and hear the differences between the coloured sections. It's a very sturdy mat which also comes with a wee tummy time cushion. It's the Rolls Royce of playmate. I love it!

Baby adores this and it keeps him entertained for quite long periods of time. Relaxing music with volume which can be adjusted. Can use own music from iPod or iPhone but we haven’t tried this. Easy to use and straight forward to set up or take down. Different music/ lights settings so baby doesn’t get bored. Footpad and hanging levers change sound and encourage baby to move, stretch and dance.

Bought this playmat for my baby! He’s 5 months now and still gets so excited when playing in it! He loves seeing the lights and music change as he kicks and pulls! Keeps him entertained for ages! Only downside is it’s quite large and takes up a lot of room on our living room!
