I used this exclusively when expressing from when my baby was born. It was on offer at the time and came with all the little extras.
I do like this and it does work, but it does sometimes unscrew and can cause you to drop bottles.

In first week of my little baby girl being home from hospital with us, my husband tried sterilising it. It all went well first few times then one night a part that attaches bottles melted.
We used microwave steriliser of same brand.

The breast pump is great. It’s quiet, gets enough milk out, easy to use. I did have some trouble in cleaning the funnel but solved that by buying a thin brush. I think a lid would be a great addition to this product as I would start expressing then something came up and had to stop. This mean I had to leave my milk exposed to oxygen. I worried when I left the pump in the fridge weather the milk would absorb other smells in the fridge like last nights leftovers.

This breast pump is fantastic for the occasional short pump to express extra milk when engorment occurs to help the process along. You can pump straight into a bottle which is very helpful however the pump can hurt you hand and I couldn’t imagine using this to express milk daily as it is just no practical. It has been great for when I first started breast feeding and I needed to pump a little bit of extra milk out when my milk came in and also when my breasts became engorgded it really helped to have a pump to do this.

This is a good very occasional use pump. It comes with an anti colic bottle which you can express straight into which is great. There is a dial to change the strength of the pump. However, only used this a few times and the pumping action made my hand ache really quickly. To get any volume of milk would be quite an effort. I bought an electric pump which worked much better for me.

The suction on this pump is rather impressive, but the handle makes my hand hurt after 2 minutes, would be better if it was slightly less noisy as well.

    • Strengths:

Comes with a anti colic bottle to add to the collection, easy to put together and use.

    • Weaknesses:

A little flimsy after a few uses, kept coming unscrewed when pumping.

Really great pump to use if you are exclusively breast feeding and just pumping off excess milk. It’s quite stiff to pump so wouldn’t be ideal to use if you were mix feeding or totally bottle feeding from breast. It’s a shame Mam don’t do an electric pump as I really do like their brand.

This pump is great and easy to use. Due to being able to change the suction I find it best to use on lowest suction to start with and then gradually make the suction stronger. The pump is easy to take apart to be able to put most of it in a steriliser, but unfortunately there is a section that you cannot put into boiling water or a steam steriliser which is understandable as it is the main pump mechanism, to make sure it is sterile I place it in warm water with a disinfectant tablet. Overall it is great and easy to use, its not going to break the bank, great for a start out pump.
