I purchased this breast pump alongside the storage cups and I must say, it worked perfectly. I had my first baby recently in July and I wasn’t sure if I was going to need one however I bought it just in case, the first time I used it to express was quite painful as I wasn’t used to so much suction, even the first time I breastfed was quite uncomfortable, but 10 minutes into it the pain goes away, I find it better if you apply some nipple cream beforehand to eliminate the soreness

You can’t complain given the price, the pump was comfortable and easy/straight forward to use and if you are only going to be an occasional pumper I’d recommend this pump to all. However after a few uses my pump developed a horribly annoying squeak upon every pump and had I been a regular pumper I would have had no choice but to purchase another pump to save my sanity. I think also if you are a regular pumper you’re going to want to go electric as manually pumping is hard work after a while.

Purchased this in a set, couldn’t wait to use it only to find it takes absolutely ages to express your milk, definitely have repetitive strain after it haha.. switched to an electric pump, best decision ever!

If I were you I’d spend £10 more and get the electric version of this avent pump as you will be more comfortable and express more milk in a sitting.

For all my three babies I have used this product to express it’s a fantastic manual pump and I would milk out and it would help with any engorgement i had without hurting me . The parts are easy to assemble and dissemble for sterilising only thing is if they had some spare parts like the flanges as it would help.

My sister recommended the manual Avent breast pump to me. The cushion makes the pump sit snuggly on the breast and is comfortable. The pump is easy to use and to clean. The only negative is a squeaky noise which doesn’t allow a sneaky midnight express session in bed.

This product is simple and effective. It can be taken apart easily which means it is a dream to keep clean. It is very easy to use and attaches to any bottle. The only downside is that I have found other breast pumps to be more effective at extracting the milk. I personally prefer the double electric pump I have as time is something I value.

These breast pumps are amazing, I’ve got 2 and they are quick and easy, my son finds the teats better then any other bottle he has had.

I bought this as after my c section we found it tricky to get the latch right. Got there in the end but this helped for when we were struggling at first. Also a lifesaver as i'm not confident breastfeeding in public so I would express and freeze milk ready to take out when we were going out. I did go on to buy and electric pump once i was confident with this but this one was more effective in getting the milk out quicker. The only thing is with every pump it would squeak so loudly and there didn't seem to be much i could do about it. Shame because the pump did work brilliantly, just needed earplugs. I would still use it again as it's easy to use, assemble and take apart to clean and it worked better than my more expensive electric pump.

Brought this breast pump to have chance for break when breastfeeding. Breastfeeding can be very demanding, so was glad to be able to express and leave house for a while and let someone else to feed my baby. Pump is easy to assemble for use and disassemble for washing. Best bit you can attach bottles straight to pump. Actual pad has massage points to make expressing easily. Once pump is on breast it has good seal around it, saying that I did had e cup breasts. All in all it was easy to use and I was able to have adult time without compromising breastfeeding.

The design is brilliant and love how each part comes apart easily to wash and sterilize. It just wasn't able to pump off much milk. I don't think my body really responded well to this pump evem though i produced enough to feed. It also made my nipples very enlarged and sore.

Nice and simple pump, and easy to use.
I used it in the early days to up my supply and found it to be a great wee pump.
There aren’t too many parts so washing and sterilising was a simple process.

This worked well for me in the early days when I had to express to encourage milk flow as baby was premature and tube fed. The electric pups didn't get anything out of me but this gently teased it out and was easy to carry around so I could use it regularly but it really only gets small amounts out and the crack isn't so easy that you can keep going for a full bottle.
My hands got tired after a while when trying to fill a bottle. But for regular stimulation to encourage flow it was great. All the parts come apart easily for sterilizing and it comes with a dust cap so you can put it all together on an advent bottle and toss it in your bag to go.1

I bought this during my pregnancy along with an electric pump. With hindsight I would have just bought and used an electric pump but a manual is a good starting point when you can feel a bit anxious and unsure about pumping to begin with. This is a simple pump that attached well to the breast and is easy to dismantle to clean each part. I did find this model to be a little bit squeaky and it is tough on the old hands if you're planning on using it for lots of expressing. But certainly to pump a little, to relieve engorgement or to get expressing going, it is super handy. I didn't travel but imagine this is easier to take away than an electric pump if you're stuck for space.

I actually like this pump very much. Tried to express by hand at first and it was a messy affair. Then I got this pump and it made expressing much easier. It fits the tit perfectly and comfortable to use. However after months of usage it starts to accumulate leftover milk in the pump's neck and it is nearly impossible to get it 100% clean again even with sterilisation. This is a bit of a let down as the device starts to smell.

This was great and easy to use. It is small and compact for if required when out and about. I expressed and fed for a while so ended up investing in an electric as it is quicker. However, this was great for relief when I returned to work.

This product was good when I was breastfeeding and needed to make bottles for on the go. The bottle attached to the bottom and you pump milk. I found the suction to be very limited though and could never get enough. For £40, it wasn't really worth it.

It's a good manual pump for mothers who want to keep their baby in habit of bottle feeding but at the same time give them the benefit of breast milk and it helps maintain good milk supply as more the milk is emptied more body gets the signal to make it.

This item is very compact and easy to clean. However feels slightly flimsy, I have had to re attach the pumping handle many times as it’s popped off while in use. The suction isn’t always 100% and it can be very noisy, almost like air is trapped. Does what it needs too.
