During my pregnancy my husband began to stock pile another brand of nappies which we had researched and because of the awards and value we selected them carefully.
Unfortunately once Hettie was born we quickly discovered she had very sensitive skin and the nappies we had were not suitable at all and left her with horrendous nappy rash, we tried two other brands which helped ease it a little but it wasn't until we tried Naty that we realised these were the perfect brand for us. Out of the numerous packs we have had we had one small issue with the fastening on all of the nappies in the pack...there was a minor quality control issue but every other pack has been perfect. We've only had two incidents of a major 'poonami' but I don't think any brand of nappy would have contained those!
We are very happy with these and love that no chemicals are used in these and they are far better for the environment.

Eco friendly without compromising on quality.

    • Weaknesses:

When wrapping up the nappy it is hard to wrap up tightly as it doesn't stick to itself

I love this nappy! It feels rather papery which is odd when you are used to the more plasticy feel of other nappies. This made me suspicious about the effectiveness of leak control. However, there has been no leaking at all! it has been incredibly hot recently and I have noticed that the papery effect of the nappy doesn't get as hot and sweaty as other nappies which was an unexpected bonus! In my opinion it is very good and the eco friendly element is wonderful!

However, there is no urine indicator. This is a good feature to me which I would like to see on this nappy, although this is not a deal breaker. I also tend to wrap up the nappies into themselves when disposing of them. But due to the nature of these nappies they do not stick to themselves which is a minor annoyance. They are also rather expensive.
Overall, I think these nappies are wonderful for the environment conscious and are very effective in absorbing liquids and keeping it all in! However, they are on the pricey side and not something that I personally can purchase often, which I think is a great shame.

I've been using Naty nappies since birth and very happy with them. I have tried other non eco nappies that had been bought for us and have found the Naty ones to be just as absorbent.
My husband refers to these nappies as the crusty ones as the outer shell is a bit crispy compared to the non eco brands which I think is due to them being paper based but they are still soft on baby's skin and flexible.
In the 7 months we've used them we haven't had any incidents of nappy rash. My little girls is crawling about and the nappies are staying put.
Price wise they are more expensive than non eco nappies but not ridiculously so and it is a price I'm willing to pay to reduce the effect on the environment the thousands of nappies I'm going to send to landfill before she's potty trained
I would definitely recommend these nappies
