Bought this before first baby was born. It looks nice in our house but baby was totally bored and hated being on it. We replaced it with a much brighter and smaller and cheaper mat from another brand and can't get him off it! I guess this one isn't for everyone but for us it was a total waste of money and is on its way to the charity shop. - Strengths:

My little boy loves this play mat and we use it every day. It's probably his favourite toy and a great place to put him down while I do the washing up!
The mat folds down into a case, so it's easily stored and it's machine washable (it's been washed several times and hasn't lost it's shape).
We really enjoy the sensory nature of the product - there are detachable rattles, squeaky animals, a mirror and the octopus' legs are scrunchy and made of different fabrics. His favourite game is getting wrapped up in the legs and kicking them off!

My little boy loves this he can now kick his feet on the bottom and it makes crackling noise. It is great as it’s padded and we have hard wooden floors so this was a great choice for us. It’s very good for tummy time as it’s lifted at the top. You can pop it in the washing machine if little one is sick on it so long as you reshape the top as it’s like a pillow. I really love this play mat and have now used it for two babies. It has kept them both amused for decent amounts of time and we started using it when they were just a few weeks old as it is well padded and a good place to leave them somewhere safe when you need to get things done.
The padded cushion is great if they are refluxy and also for tummy time.
It also folds away well and we could store it under the feature which is nice when you want to tidy away in the evening.
The only drawbacks are that the hanging mirror part often falls off but not a major issue (not heavy so wouldn’t hurt baby!) and the price as it is more than most playmats but worth it I think. - Strengths:

Bought this for my first child and he loved it. It’s machine washable, lovely and comfy and the toys hold babies attention really well. We used it every day until he was crawling. And then we packed it away and used it for our second baby too. She loves it just as much! The only down side (and this seems to be a design flaw with Mamas and Papas mats like this) is that where the bendy poles clip into ge base, the pole tends to wear through the fabric. - Strengths:

This is a lovely gym from mamas and papas. Not your bog standard looking one and a cool octopus design for both boys and girls. There is so much for your little one to do to keep them busy. The tentacles are different textures and some make sounds which they can play with with their feet. The raised pillow is great for added comfort and the toys can either be placed above baby so they can reach for them if on their back or on the sides of the gym if they are lying on their front. There is also a mirror the hangs from the top which our baby loved :) also sold at a good price - Strengths:

This colourful playmat is fantastic! It has so many different sensory features. I feel that the legs of the octopus are an extra that many mats don’t have as my little one can react to these with his legs and feet as well as with the hanging parts with his eyes and ears. My little one is especially taken with the mirror. I love the fact that the hanging parts are moveable to continue to attract my child’s attention. Just a super product! - Strengths:

I like this playmat because it’s colourful but not overly bright so isn’t an eyesore in the living room.
My five week old baby loves touching the toys and hearing the rustles and bells. The raised head is really good for tummy time and soon she’ll be playing with the octopus legs, which are a variety of textures and makes different noises.
