I purchased the icandy raspberry to use as a stroller for my baby (including the newborn cocoon) for times when I didn’t want to use our big pushchair as I’d had an icandy (peach) with my firstborn I was familiar with the icandy brand and loved the quality of their products. Unfortunately this isn’t worth the price tag, set to be the rival of the bugaboo bee (I haven’t used this so cant comment on the bee), this stroller is meant to be a nippy city buggy perfect for parents on the go.

The pushchair is absolutely beautiful to look at and has the option to be parent or world facing as well as a large shopping basket with a hand box for the rain cover, this is where the positives end.

I found the suspension on the raspberry non existent, when pushing you could feel every little lump and bump on the pavement and the seat unit would shake, my baby didn’t look safe or comfortable and my hands were vibrating from having such poor suspension. The poor suspension also meant that going up and down kurbs was at best difficult and at the worst frightening and dangerous as it would almost flip.

For a pushchair designed for city use it is heavy and difficult to fold, it took me weeks to be able to fold this without getting into a flap and I never truly mastered it, also when folded it is very heavy.

The hood is very flimsy and a few spits of rain will go straight through, on anything but a completely smooth surface the hood will fall down due to be shook by the suspension.

I wanted to love the raspberry however it’s poorly made and I think you’re paying for the icandy name with this one.
