We found this car seat to be extremely heavy making it difficult to carry with the added weight of a baby. We used this car seat to transport our newborn home from hospital however it didn’t look comfortable or supportive. We stopped using this seat until he was around three months and able to hold his head up unsupported as only then it looked to be more comfortable. The straps are also tricky to get over the babies arms without disturbing them, so no use for a sleeping baby. - Strengths:

I got this carseat as part of a Silvercross package. It does the job in the car and is compatible with the Silvercross chassis which is handy. Our baby hated it as he got bigger, then we realised it has a wedge of foam inside for newborns and took this out, he sits more comfortably now although occasionally his head flops forward when he's sleeping. - Strengths:

Baby would cry uncontrollably in this seat. His head was not supported at all in it even after silver cross sent out a newborn insert for it. Not fit for purpose really as was unable to use it. Got another car seat and baby was fine. - Strengths:

Overall a great first car seat for baby. Can be used from newborn - around 15 months of age. A big bonus is that you can easily clip this pram onto any silvercross travel system! It’s also isofix compatible so fits in the car with one click and you have peace of mind knowing your baby is safe and secure. My only criticisms for this product is that it is quite expensive, especially if you buy the isofix base also and the straps to put baby in can be a little awkward and fiddly. But overall a great high quality product.

Lovely car seat. Very stylish and matches the colour of pram. Easy to use and connect to pram and put in and out of car using isofix base. Only downside is it is quite heavy and the hood is very small. - Strengths:

We got this car seat in a bundle with the pram and isofix base. This car seat has several good aspects such as it looks very stylish, it attaches to the pram easily and we find that it is very simple to get baby in and out of. However, when our baby was newborn the seat did not seem to offer much support for newborn babies as it doesn’t have a proper head support that some other brands have. This wasn’t an issue as baby got older and from around 6-8 weeks he looked very comfortable. Also, the seat is extremely heavy which makes carrying it even a short distance difficult. Overall a good seat but we would definitely research other brands and seats for any other children we may have. - Strengths:

Great it comes with newborn wedge and insert otherwise would have been too big for my newborn.
Fairly easy to adjust for their size as they grow.

My baby was not safe in this car seat, I was uncomfortable with it as soon as I put him in. He couldn’t breathe properly due to the angle of the head to body, his cry was muffled and he was struggling to breathe. I contacted silver cross who refunded and collected very quickly, excellent service but seems worrying that they did it so quickly. Also they have recently bought out an insert to correct that positioning, but are charging an extra £25 which is terrible!!
Please test with your baby before buying. We bought a maxi cosi which immediately felt 100% better. - Weaknesses:

At first we loved this car seat, with our newborn baby we thought silvercross had to be the best. However after a month of using it we started to struggle carrying him in this as it was just too heavy. Also very heavy moving the car seat with baby in from the pram frame to the car, I struggled so much pushing in the buttons and lifting at the same time, I had to stand behind the car seat lift and let him fall back on me cause if I stood infront of him he would nearly go backwards. Also when removing the newborn insert we found it to be very hard underneath. The car seat looks great especially with the different colour fabric to your model, and it's very easy to strap little one in and then easy to fix into the car. - Strengths:

I would highly recommend this product. My son is 10 months old now and it still comfortable for him and very easy to fix into your car. We use the seatbelt option and find it very easy to fit in and take out. - Strengths:

I use this car seat for my daughter about 4 years ago . Now I'm using the same car seat for my 2nd child.it is going stronger everyday. It's really worth the money. I would recommend it to every new parent. Give it a try you will never be disappointed. - Strengths:

I got this car seat with a travel system bundle so it attached to the isofix base. When leaving the hospital and putting our 6lb 12oz baby in the car seat....we realised it wasn't very supportive, there is no newborn insert to fully support around the head! Our son didnt look comfortable at all. Its only now as hes got bigger he seems more secure in it, this wasnt till around the 8 week mark. If it wasn't for coming with the bundle I definitely wouldnt have purchased this car seat, its also very heavy. - Strengths:

We bought this car seat as it matched out buggy however we wished we had actually looked around a bit more as it is very heavy and when we had baby and put him in it he looked very uncomfortable. There is no support for there head or neck so he looked all floppy and his head moved around a lot. Now he is a little bit bigger it isn't as bad however it is now getting heavier and harder to manoeuvre. The hood also is very small and doesn't really go over enough to cover baby.
Overall the product is very nice looking and matches well when you buy the buggy but will definitely be looking into other makes or car seats for the next age group. - Strengths:

The silver cross simplicity car seat is easy to use and easily fixes into the isofix base for the car and attaches to the pram base. The only problem I found was that it was quite heavy and really isn’t safe to lift for those that have just given birth and shouldn’t be lifting heavy things.
I’ve noticed that people have said about how their babies didn’t look comfy in the seat, however I’ve seen babies in other car seats that have looked just as uncomfortable and tbh until they are in just a base booster no child looks completely comfy in any seat. But I suppose it’s personal choice for one what they think looks comfier. - Strengths:

I got this car seat FREE in a deal at the time when I bought the Pioneer model. Definitely not worth it! The canopy hood does not come over far enough so really hard to shade baby’s head. It is really heavy to start off with anyway.
Plus the seating space is just not laid back enough and baby’s body and head is just at an uncomfortable position. Has an inner padding to it but this doesn’t even come out to make the seat more comfortable. My 6 month old always wants to get out of this car seat. I chose to get a second car seat as a spare and chose a Maxi Cosi one and these are sooooo much better. - Strengths:

This is a very sturdy car seat. Padded interior for comfort but at times i think it could use more padding around the head. Occasionaly when driving my babies head drops forward and i have to stop to push it back! Fits onto my pram which is a bonus and very easy to fet in and out of the car. - Strengths:

Fab item. We have the base for the car seat too which means it is super easy to put into the car. Clips on perfectly to your pram base too which is useful if you are in a rush and don't have time to take your pram. Lovely and soft inside which means it's nice and comfy for the baby! - Strengths:

This car seat looks so smart and my little girl has always looks comfortable in it. Sometimes her head will drop forward if she is sleeping but that's due to her positioning, there is a wedge that can be taken out and the straps can be adjusted accoring to height and weight; easy to do! This seat will easily accommodate my little one until she's at least 14 months.

I bought this for my daughter as it went perfectly with the Silver Cross Surf pram we have. It was easy to fit onto the pram and Ito the car and I loved the addition of the newborn wedge which provides extra support and can be removed as your baby gets older. - Strengths:

This car seat left my baby quite hunched up . When she was sat in it her chin would be touch her chest. And when she fell asleep her head would alway be at a very uncomfortable angle! I felt it didn’t support he body and neck as much as it should do and she always woke up crying! I used this Product For about 6 month as I thought she just need to grow into it as she is small, but it didn’t make a difference so I went and brought a new car seat that stopped her chin touching her neck! - Strengths:
