We thought this for our daughter as first time parents it wasn’t essential and was a lot of money. Personally if I had more children would use again. Easy to put in and made it easier using the car seat as it just clicks in but for the money not needed - Strengths:

Easy to install and makes getting the car seat in and out of the car much more simple than using the seatbelt.
Doesn’t fit all cars due to the slopes on some car seats or underfloor storage boxes. The isofix base in some cars can make the car seat more upright which takes away the recline that is so important for newborns so I would say it’s best to test it before you buy. -

This has been a lifesaver for us!! I have a small 3 door car which meant getting my baby in and out was tricky ( especially after giving birth climbing in and out the car messing around with the seatbelt etc)
This has helped so much as it has meant I only had to place the car seat on the base and click it down and he was secure & so quick to get him in. The green and red indicators are very helpful to make sure the car seat is definitely locked in place.

This product is amazing. It makes putting your baby in and out of the car a doddle. It's quick and easy and is simple to place in the car.
Down point is is doesn't fit every car as we found out with their grandparents car.
Would highly recommend this item though if you have the car seat to fit. It is amazing.

Using the Silver Cross Isofix Base gives me peace of mind when travelling with my son in the car. It's simple to attach the base to the back of the car and even easier to clip the car seat in and out. It literally takes seconds. The red and green colour coding tells you when the seat is correctly and safely positioned.
The only downside is the price. Especially when it only takes an extra few seconds to seatbelt the carseat in if you don't have the base. - Strengths:

Ordered this for my son was a brilliant base sturdy, indicates green when car seat in properly.
Can be a pain to get into the car to install but once in you wont need to remove it. Will be using this for when my 2nd is due in Feb. - Strengths:

Very easy to install feel very sturdy and safe. It's quite heavy and sometimes when removing the car seat it sticks and you have to give it a bit of a tug which isn't great it you have a sleeping baby. Overall though it does what it's supposed to. - Strengths:

I was questioning whether spending the money on this was worth it and yes it is. It is so easy to put in the car and change from car to car - with its red and green system it puts your mind at easy that the base is installed correctly. Connecting and disconnecting the seat is as simple as pulling the lever. However I have found that the car seat rattles when on base. The other problem is that it seems to take up more room on the seat than expected, when going on trips with other family members, we have either had to go in 2 cars or remove the base so that we can get another person in the middle. All in all, I’m so glad I brought this, it puts all ease of my child’s safety. - Strengths:

I was unsure on whether this was a necessary purchase but ended up getting it while on sale and really glad we did. Whilst the car seat is perfectly safe without the Iso fix it certainly adds a level of security. The car seat is so easy to click in and with a quick look to check all the markers are green I can be assured that it is OK.
The base is very easy to fit into the car and it can be transferred, or removed, in a matter of seconds.
When the car seat is not fitted the base has a tendency to rattle while the car is being driven which can be quite irritating but seeing as me driving without the baby in the car is quite rare it's not something that really affects me. - Strengths:

I loved this product. We initially bought the car seat without the isofix base. Before baby arrived we done a practice run and decided for ease, practicality and safety we wanted to get the base. Very easy to use car seat base. Green and red indicators to show you if everything is clicked in properly. Easy release on car seat, no faffing around. There is a rattling noise when in use on journeys, as if the base is moving from side to side on the seat. May just be the bar attachments in my car though. Bought this as I have a silver cross travel system, however didn’t come with isofix. Price is high for what it is. However would definitely recommend as once attached to car it does give oeuvre of mind that baby is safe! Easy to detach car seat from the base. Isofix lets you know if you’ve installed it correctly by changing from red to green which helps as you know baby will be safe. - Strengths:

This is a lifesaver. I would recommend an isofix base to anyone as it is so much easier than using the seatbelt all of the time. The fittings were a bit stiff for a good month before it started to get easier but I suppose that comes with new products. - Strengths:
