Medela Swing Single Electric Breast Pump With Calma

I had huge issues with breast feeding and could manually extract milk and I bought this pump as like it. Firstly,it has two regimes :the first works as a baby stimulating the milk supply and the second works for fast milk extraction.
It helps to work out the nipples when you have flat nipples.
The pump is powerful and you can easily extract milk in 15-20 minutes.
One issue is when the milk flow is great ,some milk can penetrate onto the pump but you can easily clean inside it.

I started using this for colostrum expressing at 36 weeks. It really worked. I managed to get 60mls in 3 days. It’s easy to use literally just one button. Starts stimulating then once it’s finished it automatically turns to expression mode. It doesn’t hurt in the slightest like some do. Expensive but worth it. My only fault is it can get clogged a little easily.

Using this pump after struggling with breast feeding I found that I could get quite alot of milk from it, enough to feed my baby up till she was 6 weeks old. But it did take along time compared to the medela pump I used in hospital, but alot faster than the manual pump i had also brought. Has two settings so I found it very comfatable while using it. I did find it very noisy and the vibration when it was on made it hard to express while my daughter was sleeping (maybe I just had a light sleeping baby). Overall it did work and made me able to give my baby breast milk, so long as the price and the noise of the machine won't put you off then it's defiantly worth it

I love this product! Light and you can easily bring with tou everywhere, it has different sunction settings for different needs. This product saved my life while breastfeeding

Great product so quick and easy to use. Reliable brand that doesn’t let you down only concern is occasionally breast milk can get into the pump tubing but once cleaned and dried you can continue use

I had tried 2 other pumps before using this one and this one was far better to use.

I loved that the whole system was compact and small enough to pop in to my hand bag while out and about to use and I love that it could be used mains powered and battery powered. It also comes with a little storage bag meaning keeping everything together was really easy. This made it portable and meant no need to carry a manual pump when out with baby.

The controls were easy to use and the pump was very simple to set up. It's a good strong pump that allowed me to express a lot of milk in a fairly short amount of time.

For the cost of the pump I would have preferred and extra collection bottle and storage bags rather than one bottle and a calma test as we didn't find the teat useful, in fact I think my son only tried it twice before we gave up. I also would have expected there to be alternative sizes of attachments as I felt my nipple was maybe a little big for the one provided and after spending the money on the pump didn't want to spend more on an additional part.

The only other drawback I had was that after expressing I wasn't able to sit the whole system down while I made myself decent when finished or switching to the other breast as the bottle just toppled over so I had to unscrew the pump from the storage bottle.


Aside from this I actually found this pump enjoyable to use. I certainly never experienced any pain while using it. I like it so much that I promised myself when I have my next baby I will be buying the double just to cut expressing time in half.

This helped me so much when i was breastfeeding . I frozen a lot milk that time . I use it to leave milk for my babe when i leave to work . Was very useful

I was recommended this, as my baby was tongue tied and I wanted to breast feed. So brought this, the speeds and actual pump itself is so hard wearing, and has good adjustments to it. This was a good send, it is portable and plugs into mains, my Baby is 10 weeks old now, and I wouldn’t be breastfeeding if it wasn’t for this pump

This has been one of my favourite purchases as it's enabled dad to bond more worth our lo as he can feed her with my expressed milk. It's easy to use and the funnels come in different sizes for different nipple sizes. You can attach a bottle which can then be put in the fridge or the milk can be transferred to a storage bag or for a little bit extra you can get bags and an attachment that fit on to the pump itself. It does have quite a few pieces that need to be taken apart, cleaned and then sterilised but it also means if something breaks you don't have to buy a whole unit again.

I have a very well used breast pump helped in the first 5-6 weeks when trying to get baby used to bottle of evening... Great product never had a problem with it easy to use no pain no problem

Great product and i would buy again. I managed to pump a lot of milk in a short time. Only negative is its price and that the bottle is discoloured after putting in boiling water as instructed.

This pump has helped me extract my milk vet efficiently and I could feed it straight to my baby. The funnel is comfortable, the suction is good. The only down side is that it doesn't have time counter and sometimes I would loose track how much time I have pumped.

This product has made expressing so much easier for myself and has made it easier for my partner to bond with my baby using my breast milk. It’s quick and efficient and doesn’t hurt or get sore like some breast pumps! Fantastic!

This is a great breast pump. I've tried a manual one which wasn't much use and I couldn't get much milk with that. After I got medela I get between 70-100ml depending if I'm expressing lunchtime or evening. It's very easy to use and you can watch tv whilst getting some milk for your baby. All in all I'm very happy with this product.

I love it! So easy to use. I get so much more breast milk expressed using this rather than a manual pump. I love that you can put batteries in or connect it to mains

Absolutely brilliant after worrying about expressing this made it so easy , and it being portable is brilliant so I can take it anywhere

This is a good expressing machine but if you have a fast let down like I do then a lot of the milk ends up going into the tubes and spoiling. You can buy replacement tubes but for me the milk ended up in the system itself and caused it to break. It is also very very loud and made me feel like a cow whenever I used it. The price is also a bit of a sore point for me. I'd want something more hygienic for the price I paid. I did manage to express a good amount each time I used it though and there wasn't any leakage out of bottles and there are different sized parts to accommodate different sized breasts.

i think this product is good just very over priced. its alot of money to spends on something in my eyes. i needed one of these and breast feeding was hard. but i think mothers should get help with them if you finding things hard

It’s great and very effective and works very well, price is also good for an electric pump, weakness is the noise it is quite loud. It's fine through the day but makes night time pumping quite difficult.

Being a first time mum I don’t have much experience with this sort of thing! The idea of using a breast pump was quite daunting. This all changed when I purchased this pump and used it for the first time! It’s so easy to use and has brilliant instructions for when you get stuck. It comes with its own storage bag, it’s a quiet machine and it’s super efficient. What’s not to love?!

Love this product and it’s very good value for money compared to other similar items. It’s very easy to put together and easy to work as well. Isn’t that loud which is handy.
