I really like this butter. I’ve tried a few butters, creams and oils for the bump and this is one of my favourites. It seems to moisturise well and because it takes a min or two to soak into the skin it encourages you to keep rubbing it gently in, which is important for reducing stretch marks too. Feels even better when I can convince hubby to do it, but he doesn’t like the smell. I’m 29 weeks, measuring huge and still no stretch marked on the bump, despite having old ones on my legs

I have used this for many years including with bio oil, I love the range of this stuff as it smells nice can be a bit greasy but absorbs into skin fairly well. Palmers always do a great job of products on offer and seem to work for me.

Brilliant for preventing stretch marks. I have no stretch marks and used either this product or other Palmers products everyday throughout my pregnancy. The texture of this product is a little odd but easy to get used to when using regularly.

I used this product from virtually the start of my pregnancy and used it alongside another product from half way through my second trimester. I did end up with a few stretch marks, but nothing to worry about. The cream was a little thick and this made it harder to absorb. The price was reasonable so would use this again

I love this product and it’s at a reasonable price. I tried other brands and this is far by the best! Can be very sticky but it’s helped me and it smells lovely. Recommended to a friend!

Don’t get me wrong, this is a good product. It smells beautiful as all palmers products do and is a decent price compared to other maternity stretch mark products. For me, I just couldn't get on with it. I found the texture really quite unpleasant, it was quite solid so had to warm it in my hands before it could be rubbed in but even when warmed it had little lumps left in it that took ages to loosen to rub in. It took ages to absorb which was quite inconvenient in the mornings when waiting to get dressed and compared to other butters I found it a little greasy. My only issue was texture but for me it was quite an issue. But my sister in law loved the stuff so at least the one I bought didn’t go to waste.

I get a tester for this butter, use it and just fell in love. When I finish my tester I went and buy a full package. I like how it smells, also it helps me when my belly was big and dry, it makes my skin soft and nice. Now I already have the baby, but this butter is still with me. When I feel that my skin become dry I just use it and the problem goes out.

For me this product does have some faults like the fact that the top layer of the product is very hard to smooth over your skin even when you warm it up but once you have used that top layer the rest of the product is very smooth and buttery and it's a lot easier to smooth over the skin. I found this product really helped with the elasticity of my skin which is what you want when looking for products that reduce or prevents stretch marks. I have been using this product twice a day since the start of my pregnancy and have really noticed a difference in my skin, I am currently only 16 weeks pregnant but so far I am very impressed as it has made my skin very smooth and still no signs of any stretch marks yet. One downside to this product is that you can really feel it on your skin after you have just applied it as the product is so thick but I just put clothes on and try to let it sink in without thinking about it too much. All in all for the price of this product (I purchased this for £3.99 in boots) it works really well and I will definitely continue to use it throughout the rest of my pregnancy and I do highly recommend the product.

My partner had stretch marks from previous pregnancies. We thought we'd give this a go, not in the hopes or making the marks disappear but to hopefully reduce any further marks.
It was my job to massage this in while she read. I found it very hard to get out of the tub and shorten to allow application. When I finally got it workable it became quite running and greasy, it seemed to slide around a lot and then became sticky. This was to the point that we had to wipe it as her clothes we're sticking and uncomfortable.
The results could have been brilliant but unfortunately we didn't give it long enough to see them.

This is the only anti-stretch mark product I repurchased during my pregnancy. It relieved my itchy skin and I didn’t have to re-apply during the day. I didn’t get a single stretch mark with this product. The only negative I can give is that it is very sticky.

My mum bought this for me to try. I found it quite thick to apply and felt you had to use quite a lot of it. It got quite sticky and attaches itself to your clothes as well. Smells incredible though but prefer the moisturiser.

I'm not a fan of this product. I found that the consistancy is too thick and waxy to even get it out the pot, so made it incredibly difficult to apply. Because of this I didnt really notice much improvement to my skin. This product does smell lovely on the other hand!

This product smells lovely and makes my skin soft and nourished. The consistency is a bit waxy and kind of melts into your fingers although sometimes the odd bit doesn’t melt. My stretch marks have visually reduced in redness. Would buy again.

Personally I'm not a fan of this. I was initially taken in by the price, it's reasonably cheap for a good brand. I already knew I wasn't going to be a fan of the smell as I don't like the 'usual' palmers scent but I was prepared for that if it did what it said on the tin! I only used the product a couple of times due to it being so bloody difficult to even get out. I'd spend ages running my fingers around the jar just trying to get any product. Eventually when I did, it applied well but I didn't particularly like how it felt on my skin afterwards, it took a while to soak in and left a residue. I wouldn't purchase again.

I found this worked well if I left the cream in a warm place, then it was easier to apply. It doesnt actually stop stretchmarks but it does help to reduce the red appearance of them and it stops the itching that comes with your skin stretching. I also used it on my back as I found the stretching was so itchy there and it soothed it really fast. Great product I still use it now!

I am 25 weeks pregnant and my belly already feels very stretched, this tummy butter soothes my skin when on and smells great!
As it is butter it is very hard to get out of the pot and can feel quite greasy if a little too much is put on.
I do get stretch marks on other parts of my body and haven’t seen any on my belly yet, so hopefully it’s working!

I swear by this product! Used it twice a day and didn’t get any stretch marks. The product smells lovely and is a good price, it glides onto skin easily. However, it can turn very clumpy, especially towards the end of the tub. It also takes a while to soak into the skin so best not to use if in a rush to put clothes back on.

I have been using this product on my bump through my whole pregnancy, I am now 34 weeks and not one stretch mark yet. I know they say it is more down to genetics but I honestly think the belly butter has been great. It is really easy to rub on and is more of a balm than a oil like bio oil. I am not keep on the feel of oily products so much prefer this. At first I just put on a night but not I am wearing it all day and it does not rub onto my clothes like an oil would. The smell is lovely and the price is great.

I read several reviews and had to get myself a pot of this tummy butter. The first thing I realised when opening it was the smell, it was your typical Palmers smell- which is ok normally but during pregnancy our noses are very sensitive and might put some people off as it can be quite overpowering. It was a pain to get out onto my hands. I found myself digging at it to get a decent amount to apply. It takes ages to soak in regardless off how much time you take to massage it in, and I also noticed it leaves a residue which the only way I can describe is “plastic or squeaky” on the skin when you touch. Even in the shower I noticed it doesn’t fit come off in one wash. So imagine applying it every day, you’d never fully remove it from your skin.
I haven’t used it again, but I’ve kept hold of it “in case of emergency”. I’ve switched to a solid body butter bar from lush. Much more natural feeling.

I love all the Palmers cocoa range and bought this due to being pregnant and wanting to keep stretch marks at bay, it is a good price and nice product. The only problem is getting it out of the jar and then making it smooth enough and not lumpy to apply to the skin, once it’s on it soaks in nicely, it’s just applying the product which is a pain. It helps with itching skin and stretching.

Ever since I hit puberty years ago, I have learnt that my skin is prone to stretch marks. So when I fell pregnant I was worried about how much discomfort I would be in because of it. In the past I had tried multiple different products to help fade them and nothing worked. I was desperate to try a different product that actually worked which I when I stumbled upon this product. The oils mixed with the cocoa butter leaves my skin feeling soft, the collagen and elastin actually seems to help the elasticity of my skin and the lavender helped to soothe my skin when it was beginning to become aggravated. It even helps when my breasts become sore as they increase in size plus I put it on before I go to sleep the lavender (if you like the smell) helps to calm you down.
