We originally purchased this monitor as it had the sensor mat and we wanted to have the peace of mind that our new baby was ok. The alarm would randomly go off and scare us half to death. The pause button is a great idea for when you have to take baby out of bed to feed/change and don’t want to turn it off but the continuous beeping noise is very annoying. The mat also stopped working after 6 months use.

It’s good overall, however for its price - it could be improved.

As soon as I took my son out of his cot for his night feed I have to be very quick to click off the alarm otherwise it would wake him up!

The sound is so quiet it’s a struggle to hear it over the telly - even on the highest volume. I kept having to check the screen for the sound wave lights.

The battery runs out very quickly. Only lasts a few hours.

I can’t figure out how to use the microphone on the monitor side to talk to him whilst I’m downstairs.

The monitor has to be placed above the cot. I’ve actually had to attach it to the wall above the cot as there is no surfaces to put it on.

You can only move the camera to a certain degree, so not as flexible as previous model I had which got discontinued.

Worth the money if you are conscious about leaving your baby to sleep alone, but not worth the excessive price otherwise.

I found that this monitor just seemed to be trying to spread itself to thinly. I loved the idea of a motion sensor and a video monitor so splurged on this, only to find that the video quality was worse than some cheap eBay monitors and there was just too much going on! I decided that really, I only needed the motion sensor and returned this item for one of those instead (I use a separate different branded video monitor when needed). The motion sensor was less than half of the price of this and a good quality video monitor about the same, so I decided to take that route instead.

A product that gives a first time parent that valuable peace of mind to allow for a nights sleep safe in the knowledge that the sensor pad would warn of a stop in movement. At a time where most mums feel worried this is an essential item. Only room for improvement would be the quality of camera picture, especially night vision. A better base that helped with mounting camera would also be beneficial.
