We tried these with our breastfed baby unsuccessfully. I initially really liked the idea of them being more breast like but my baby wouldn’t take to them at all. They seemed too big and hard to keep in the mouth when sucking.
They might be better suited if used from day 1 maybe. Maybe at 2 months my baby already had a preference. They are a good idea, just not for us.

I struggled a lit with my baby gurl who is now 2 months old. She needed a soother in between feeds but was refusing all the other ones. Some were to heavy and falling from her mouth and she wasn’t able to keep some other in her mouth because of the shape causing her frustration. I tried to give her the Tommee Tippee Breast-like Soother while doing shopping as she was crying and struggling to go to sleep. My little baby kept the soother in her mouth and felt asleep while sucking on it. I was really happy that she went to sleep thanks to the soother but more than that surprised that she kept it in her mouth. The only bad point is now that she doesn’t accept any other soother, I can’t buy any other more colourful one. The design is very simple and the only thing I can do is attach a nice dummy holder to it.

The soother itself is quite heavy and my baby struggles to keep it in his mouth.

Easy for baby to pull out of mouth and explore like a toy to practice hand/eye coordination.

Quite pricey and unfortunately the product wasn’t right for my baby

Only dummy my EBF baby will have. Means I don’t have to feed him to sleep every night. It freaks me out you can see into his mouth though!

My baby is breast fed and will only take milk from a tommee tippee bottle. We previously tried soothers and my baby refused to take any. However he has accepted this soother immediately! The teet is very much like the teet of the bottle. It’s the most ‘nipple like’ soother I have seen. It is flexible and moves well in babies mouth. There has been no nipple confusion between soothers, bottles and the breast.
There is a little hope to attach a dummy clip which is useful.
The only negative is it doesn’t come with a cap, it’s hard to keep them clean taking the out and about when not in use.
These soothers are easy to clean and sterilise.

    • Strengths:

My son seemed to like the feel and shape of the teat

    • Weaknesses:

Very similar design to the bottles of same brand so my baby would spit out often

I received these soothers as part of a product test and below is my full and intensive review-

These product was a very well thought of product, they tried to make it as similar to the breast as they could and I believe they served he brand well with this product. My son enjoyed the way these tears felt but did get a little confused as they are very similar to the bottles of the same brand.

One of the major flaws of this product is that my baby is slightly tongue tied and found it hard to keep the soothers in his mouth iAd the design is quite bulky for little mouths, however if he was lying down he had no problem.

Also as the teat is exposed both sides you have to pay very close attention to under the tip of the casing as muck can get caught.

I do like how there is a hole for which I assumed was for a dummy clip, if it wasn’t this is what I used it for regardless.

In conclusion this product is a very good product if you baby is solely breastfed, as I pump and often bottle feed my baby it confused him a little and the product was quite heavy for him to hold in his mouth.

I love this dummy! I’m a product tester for this product and I couldn’t of got given a better dummy, my little boy loves these. I can’t have an opinion about price as I don’t know how much they are in store but I would definitely get some more if I came across them when I’m shopping! I would recommend this product to any new parent looking at which dummy’s are best for their baby, they look very bulky at first but they’ve got little holes all the way through the edges so no matter what your baby can always breath through them, but it also doesn’t cover my little boys nose with the edges they are smaller than I originally thought which is brilliant.

So we gotten the Breastlike soothers from TT & I have to say I’m so pleased and relieved. My daughter is almost 7 months, rejected all sorts of soothers / dummies but she took to this without any issues & it’s given me freedom whereas before I was also her pacifier! She takes to it and goes back and forth between breast and soother with no hesitation. WIN WIN!

I was really hopeful after receiving these as my little girl who is breastfed will not take a soother. We've tried every brand but she refuses them all. We I received these I liked the design as they were different to any other we had. The only down side is there's no container to pop them in to keep them from getting dirty in your changing bag. She refused them to start with and every day since we've been trying and she's finally taking to It. They only stays in for 5-10 minutes but she's liking them a little more each day.

Have breastfed my little girl and found she would not take a soother. Received these and she loves them. Only wish they were available when she was born. The shape takes a bit of getting used too but they work a treat for a breastfed baby

My baby is EBF and will not take dummies. We’ve tried so many brands and this is the only one she’s accepted.
It’s shaped perfectly so it won’t cause any confusion. Easy to sterilise.

We tried 0-6 months but will have to go up too the next size as when she sucks on this it ends up flying out due to the teat being too small

Description

When mum’s breast isn’t available, the Tommee Tippee Breast-like Soother is the most breast-like replacement for little one to latch onto between feeds.
For many parents the idea of introducing a soother can be difficult. So they’ve taken inspiration from their award-winning Closer to Nature teat to create a brand new soother for a more natural experience.

The natural shape and feel helps transition between breast, bottle and soother. Made from super soft natural-feel silicone, this soother flexes and stretches just like mum, giving breast-like comfort for the most natural soothing experience.

Product Features:

  • Available in two colours (grey & blue)
  • Suitable for babies aged 0-6 months / 6-18 months
