I struggled finding a double buggy I liked the look of aswell as being good for a baby and toddler and finally picked the donkey 2. Yes the price is steep but for what you get, how long you’ll use it for and how it looks I think the price is pretty good!
You can get near to anything to accessorise it. Choose what colours you want. My baby and toddler absolutely love this buggy and it’s so smooth to push around

As a triplet mum I have the donkey and the buffalo
I am so in love with the donkey pushchair it is super easy to maneuver and quite slimline for a double I rarely have issues getting around shops I love I can change the fabric from summer to winter and the sun shades built in with a zip which extends the hood is a lifesaver when Mr sunshine makes an appearance

Overall I love the bugaboo donkey it looks styish and fits through any doorway I tired. My favourite thing about it is my babies can face me and we can have a chat while walking. Down side is having to fold it down and take it apart every time I put it in the boot of the car BUT i would definitely still choose this pushchair over any other double I tired including phil and Ted's navigator, out and about, graco tandem

We bought a Bugaboo Donkey2 Mono in all black, for a number of reasons. It’s so flexible and practical - we’re both in our 30s and planned to have two children in reasonably quick succession, so the ability to have this pram as a single or a double means that although it wasn’t cheap to buy, we won’t need to buy another when we expand our family. In its ‘mono’ state it is actually only the size of the average wheelchair, so we haven’t experienced any access issues that wouldn’t be encountered by any other pram. It can even fit folded into the boot of my little Yaris! I can’t recommnd this pram enough, it’s fab!

I have the bugaboo donkey 1 which is basically the same product I use it for my 2 year old and new born it’s so good and looks so nice! I don’t like the doubles where there is one child on top of the other so we went for this as side by side and can also have as a singe with the small shopping basket next to it which I find useful. Easy to steer and collapse into the car.value for money

I absolutely LOVE our donkey. This was the tied buggy we had brought for my twins and I haven’t regretted it once. So many people said about not being able to fit through places (this is very rare) as most places are more open plan these days!

As soon as we found out we were having twins the pram was the first thing we looked for as it would also have an influence on our vehicles as was also needing to upgrade that as we'd now be a family of 6. After having a look at some and being quite bewildered I asked advice on some twin pages, the Bugaboo Donkey and 1 other were the clear contenders of side by side ones as this is what we prefered to the ones where they are in front of one another. We went and compared both prams and the Donkey was our clear favourite due to it's wonderful smooth and easy movement even with 1 hand. The 2nd winning point was the size of the carrycots / seats. The alternative seemed mearly big enough for a doll not two growing twins. We took into consideration the fact that t h e other could fit through all doors etc whereas the Donkey wouldn't but decided that was a small compromise. Our twins are mow 7wks old and we've been putting it through it's paces. We love the fact that you can have the attachment meaning you can use the carseats on the frane, it's so much easier whilst they are young and means you don't have to disturb them to transport from 1 to the other, also meaning a little more peace and quiet. Everything just clips in placec really easily. Another major plus for us is the extendable handle as we're both tall and found others we were hunching down to, but this extends to a perfect height for us. Being able to see both babies all the time is fantastic too rather than having to peep around one another in the other style prams, I think this will beceven better once they are older and I can interact more with them, I won't miss any little smile, gurgle or even any issues. So far the only downsides we have found is that it's a bit tricky to collapse and open up, definitely not a smooth 1 hand job, can take a few minutes, although that could just be us getting used to it, it is nice that you can take the rear wheels off though to help collapse it further to fit in the car boot. The only other downside is that yes it doesn't fit through all doors and as we found out not all lifts either. Overall we are really really happy with our Donkey and look forward to it seeing our twins through the next few years.

We all love our donkey. It's so easy to push (even one handed) comfortable for the babies and they love being able to see me when i am pushing it. The car seats clip on easy with a twin adaptor which was great for quick journeys round town . We have just progressed from the carry cots to the bigger seats and my 8 month old girls love looking out . The only down side is its a big pram to keep in the house , it does fold down but with the seat units taken off it takes up some room . With five children and the school run to do it can be a pain to put up and down all the time in taking it in and out the house so I tend to leave the frame in the car . Much easier to put the car seats on for school run but now the weather's colder the girls prefer to be in the seat units. Other than the size no issues what so ever and happy thay we went with this pram.

As soon as I knew I was having baby number two this was the pram I permanently kept going back and looking at. No matter where I was I was always drawn to it because of its ability to go from a single to a double which would mean I could use for my daughter before the new arrival then use for them both then easily just put it back down to a single for the remainder of the time using it. I have to admit it is rather pricey and was what initially put me off buying but in the end caved and I’m so happy I did as this is possibly the best one I’ve used since having children. It’s surprisingly easy to push even with a large boisterous 1.5 year old. My only really dislikes about this is the fact unfortunately this doesn’t fit through the door of my house and the hall as a double so it has to be put from single to double outside to either get in or out of the has, I’ve noticed if I don’t take a car I find myself walking more with this as I struggle to fit onto some public transport but all in all I absolutely love it and would recommend to anyone I can’t absolutely love mine

Brilliant quality, a little pricey but definitely worth the money. I use for my 4 month old and my 1.5 year old. Both have lots of room in the carrycot/seat unit. Very easy to steer, and light to push. Easy enough to fold, basket is huge! Only downfall for me is that when in duo mode it doesn’t fit through a standard sized door. I can’t fault it other than that.

I love this pram!! I struggled to decide on a pram for my toddler and new baby and I am so happy I went with this one as apposes to a tandem pram. It’s easy to steer and so light when pushing I love it that both children can be facing either direction. Yes it is big but fits in most doorways (said width as a wheelchair). One you get the hang of the gold and how it will fit in your boot it’s fine any pram that’s a double and has 2 seats is going to be big in the boot overall love it!!

Best pram I’ve bought I’ve had 10 prams in 2 years and this will be my last. The design is brilliant from how it can be single and duo when you buy the duo. To the fabrics. Never had a pram that’s so easy to push and go up and down kurbs! Would definitely recommend. Its a very dear pram but you won’t need another!

We love this pram weather you have one or 2 children it really is a unique head Turner Pram. In single mode you can have 1 seat and basket which comes in brilliant for all your bits and pieces. You can also have the carry cot or car seat. When in duo mode you can have 2 carry cot, 2 car seat, and 2 seat units or if like me 1 carry cot and 1 seat. The carry cots are lovely and spacious and have a removable cover to wash. The seats are the same frame you use for carrycot u just have different fabrics which are easy to take off and on I did it with in 5mins it has a lovely strong velcro that comes off the frame and one buckle along the bottom. The frame it self is a bit on the bulky side but what do you expect for a luxurious side by side. It fits round most shops I only ever had a problem getting it through some wooden doors but 90% of the time it fits through most doors. Overall I would 100% recommend for twin or even tandem.

I love love love my donkey. So much so i have accessoried it so much over the years. The hoods and seat covers them self come off and go straight in the washing machine for easy cleaning as does the under basket. Can be steered with one hand even as a double. Seats can be parent facing or world facing or either iver. Can be used as a double or a single and is very easy to adjust from both. Slightly bulky when folded but what do you expect a double like this to be... slender. Saying that it fits comfortably into the boot of my ford focus along with both seat units and also leaves room for shopping.

This is the best pram! I've had this pram since birth of my twins and it's been fab. I've recently sold it due to no longer needing such a big pram but I just can not find one that even comes close to this one. It's cosy for the winter months and the hoods provide great shade in the summer months without the need of a parasol. It's easy to push and the suspension takes a lot of the weight so doesn't even feel heavy to push at all. Only down side to this pram is that the seats have to be disconnected to out into the car or house which can be a hassle in the wet days.

I purchased this pram when I was expecting my second as needed a double. I was bowled over by how much I love it. At first whilst I was pregnant I used it as a single and my son loved having the side basket to keep his toys in. It was great for when we went down to the shops and didn't have to juggle and basket as we could use the one on the pram. After having my second I was worried that the pram would stop me getting in most places but even as a double it fits through a standard doorway! It is so easy to steer, and is beautifully designed. I am now expecting our third child and love that we can still use the bugaboo, as have now invested in a buggy board that simply clips onto the Base. I highly recommend this pram!
  • 4.38/5
    • Strengths:

Brilliant quality, babies are side by side, looks classy and elegant.

I absolutely love my classic navy and cream donkey twin. It is a beautiful pram to look at and I have had many people stop me and comment on not only how beautiful my babies are but also my pram. When I was testing prams before they were born I felt that nothing on the market came close to the quality and that’s why I feel that the price of the pram is not overly expensive. I’m a great believer in paying that little bit extra for the added quality. I also like the fact that if I’m the future I decide to have more children I can use this as a singleton pram too.

A couple of negative things are.
    1. The cost of the accessories. I would have loved to get matching foot muffs for the winter and I looked at the matching parasols for the summer but these items are extremely pricey and when you have already paid out a large sum on for the pram you don’t want to be paying ridiculous prices for extras.

    2. When using the car seat adapter for the double you have to make sure you check door ways. I have had a couple issues fitting in shops, and even the local chemist due to the size and have ended up with a few scratches down the side of the adapter trying to fit through. (Maxi-cosi double adapter)

    3. Occasionally I feel the good is not as good quality as the rest of the pram. When I have had it fully extended and trying to close it back it can sometimes fold only at one side or different sections at the same time and I have had to stop and use both hands to fold away.

    4. The bar on the front could be easier to remove and stay attached at one side. My sister has the chameleon and I prefer how her bar attaches and detached.

Over all I’m very happy with my pram and would highly recommend it to anyone who was looking for a double side-by-side.

I’ve been using it as a 1.1 with the shopping side basket for around 3 months and come December will be using as a duo, it’s so easy to push and gets on and off buses great.

Description

With 2 young children, anything that makes life easier is worth its weight in gold. Going out with two can often present a dilemma and you need a means of safely and comfortably doing so. The Bugaboo Donkey 2 Duo / Mono is the ultimate doubles answer, whatever ages you are catering for. It is versitile because it is readily convertible, with 17 different configurations, thanks to its interchangeable seats and bassinets, and flexible luggage options.

You can also reverse the seats so your children can face you, the world or each other. In just 3 simple click steps it can convert from a duo to a mono pushchair. And, in duo it is only 5.4 inches wider than mono, so you can still navigate through doors and relatively small places with ease. Whilst ease of adaptability is key, equally, no compromises are made on comfort or functionality.
