I was brought this by 2 different people before I had my baby and thought I wouldn't use any of them. But I use them all the time! One in my nappy bag and one stays at home and everything gets used apart from the toothbrush. The nail clippers are small and easy to use, the nail files are suitable for little baby nails, the bulb sucker (although is gross) works when you need to unblock a babies snotty nose. Even the hair brush is used after bath time and my baby loves it. The only downfall is the toothbrush, i was given some by my local childrens centre but decided to use this instead and a bristle came out whilst brushing babys teeth. I haven't used it since. But I still would buy someone this who is pregnant because I know it's really handy to have.Read more - Strengths:

I bought this when my son was 3 weeks old. I mainly use the scissors and clippers to cut his nails and I use the hairbrush as my son has quite a lot of hair. I have tried to use the nasal aspiratior but it doesn’t fit in his nostril so very difficult to use. I also do not see the point of the toothbrush being in there.Read more

The thermometer is almost impossible to use on a child once they start moving around as it takes far too long to take the temp but the rest of this little set is excellent. I’d suggest buying a different thermometer as well as this set - Strengths:

The hair brush is nice and soft, and makes baby's hair all cute and fluffy which is just adorable.
The nail clippers are easy to use (I've only clipped a finger once) and there are also a couple of emery boards for the more fiddly nails.
I've not managed to get baby to sit still long enough for the thermometer to actually take his temperature as it takes a little while to make a reading.
The nasal bulb does work, but it takes quite a few goes to get the snot out and there's no easy way to clean it.

Purchased this because it simply had everything could need in it. Everything so conveniently kept in a handy travel size bag for easy access. Saves rummaging through a nappy bag for any of these items. Like how there is a thermometer in it as babies temperature is a key thing to keep an eye on. I really like this product and hope they may expand and make more colour cases and designs. Would recommend to anyone. - Strengths:

For the price, this product is great to have and to keep with you on the go as it’s small enough to carry around. However, the thermometer is difficult to use in comparison to an ear thermometer and I also have found it not very accurate. Overall, cheap and cheerful. - Strengths:

This set is a great beginner set. Has all the essentials. The nail cutter and scissors have come in so handy. Also, I prefer the toothbrush for my baby’s hair as it helps to get rid of flakes a lot better than the hairbrush in the set. I haven’t been able to use the nasal aspirator as it is too large for my little one’s nostrils. I haven’t been able to get a hang of the thermometer either so using a digital forehead one.Read more

Tried using the Basel sucker in a number of occasions without success. Haven’t tried to use the nail clippers yet as too afraid! So instead have used the nail files.

Nice kit to have with all essentials but some of the items seem to be not so useful, have mainly been using the nail clip which works very well and very convenient for baby’s small nails.

I have tried all of the products in this case. It’s a nice compact travel size and handy especially for your first baby when your unsure of what will be used. The nail scissors I find useless but my mum loves them. I prefer the baby nail clippers that are easier to use. The hairbrush is nice and soft. The thermometer takes ages!! I wouldn’t really recommend this and would probably work out cheaper just buying the essentials separate. - Strengths:

Scissors and nail clippers are perfect for my kids little fingers always felt confident using them even from newborn. There is not enough nail files I used many many more. The thermometer is not the most reliable as my children don’t like it under the there armpit and I struggle to get an exact temperature. Hair brush is so soft on newborns heads. - Weaknesses:

I brought this set in the Lidl baby event for £10. It has everything I need, even a nasal sucker thing. It’s very handy as I was bound to forget something but the set provides you with it all. Small light and comes with a case.

This is a great starter kit. It has everything you would need for your new born. I was able to use it for my first daughter and even second. The only down side may be the price of it, but even when your looking for another kit which is similar it is very difficult to find, so I would still recommend this kit.Read more

I received this as a gift before my baby was born. It comes in a lovely little black case, which is great to keep in the changing bag for on the go! The toothbrush was great as a first brush, however ours has now grown mould and been chucked after a few months use! The little brush, nail clippers, Emery board and scissors are very useful. I bought this while on offer so it was a bit of a bargain. The tools feel nice and good quality. Not like those rubbish cheap nail tool kits you get. We don't use the thermometer as it's a degree or so out which gave a me a fright first time a tried to use on my baby but it was to be expected, you get what you pay for. It's all easy to clean, even the snot sucker which I thought I would never use. My baby girl is 5 months and I’ve only used one thing out of this set. I used the nose aspirator when my baby was congested. It didn’t work well at all. I bought the nose frida instead and prefer that. The nail clippers I used once and cut my girls finger with them. I find using a glass nail file is easier. The thermometer is very cheap. I turned it on once and the battery is dead. The toothbrush and hairbrushes that it comes with won’t be used until my baby is older. I definitely wouldn’t say this would be essential for a newborn. I got this thinking it would be great as most Tommy Tippee items I have seen so far have been, but this is just not the best. You do get a lot in the set but I don't feel that much is usable. The only things I use in this set now are the soft bristle brush and the carry case. I probably wouldn't buy this again if I had known. It is still handy if you are starting out and strapped for cash, but I would maybe buy a better thermometer to go with it and just keep that one as a back up.Read more - Strengths:
