We bout this in the hopes it would help in settling our baby at night. We would put the sounds on (usually the heartbeat) as they were drifting off. It did work but then as described in the mail the alert system would kick in at any sound and it was quite loud even on the lowest setting.

The light from the chest is fantastic as it helped with our monitor giving us a better picture and physically it looks great and very friends for a child to look at.

Overall it's a great device, simple to use and very effective, just one setting lower on the volume would have been perfect for us.

My 7 months old son sleeps next to it every night. Great sleeping aid, easy to use. The price is reasonable, the only minus i can think of is that this toy eats batteries too quick. But overall - positive feedback from me.

Ollie the owl is great for getting my son off to sleep whilst I tip toe out the bedroom. The cry sensor definitely works when he starts to wake during the night. We use the white noise most and I like that there are 3 different volumes you can use.
I’ve got the rechargeable owl and I can go weeks in between charging the battery. My only downside is the charger cable is very short which isn’t ideal when you’ve got a big plush toy hanging from the battery pack

Ollie has been a great help with our baby, she enjoys it to help her sleep. Unfortunately, her favourite sound is the heartbeat which can't be set for the cry sensor meaning that she will wake and not settle unless we press the button again. However, the owl is easy to use, the volumes and brightness are good and its pretty cute too.

We've had Ollie for a few weeks now and I honestly don't think I could sleep without him let alone my baby.
I dislike that in order to get to the white noise you have to click through the lullaby. If they were on different buttons it would be great. Also even when volume turned down it's still rather loud but eventually I got used to the volume level.

Absolute game changer for us! Worked well to help our little one sleep, she loves the white noise! She wasn’t bothered about the other sounds but the white noise works great. Love the different level of noise, but it’s best feature is that it will turn back on if the baby stirs/noise detected! We really notice the difference when we don’t use have it on (when the batteries die!). We used it in hospital too and it was loud enough to drown out the general noise of the hospital and help us all get some sleep. Ideal would certainly recommend!

I decided to buy an Ollie the Owl when my son transitioned to his own room. He really enjoys the Brahms Lullaby and sends him off to sleep easily.

The Cry sensor was the deciding factor which made me choose the Owl over similar sleep aids. This often helps lull our son back to sleep if he stirs and saves mummy having to see to him until he needs it. Unfortunately the cry sensor does seem overly sensitive and comes on when my son doesn't seem to make a noise. I have tried moving it further away from his cot & that seems to help.

The main weaknesses of the product is that it eats batteries! I knew this from reading reviews prior to purchasing, so I bought a few sets of rechargeable batteries in advance.
Luckily my son enjoys the Brahms Lullaby but I feel the product would benefit from a few more sound options to suit all babies.

1000% recommend! Bought this for my baby when he was born, he is now 3 month and it is hands down the best thing i got for him. It is so simple to use and really helps settle baby. The cry sensor is a brilliant addition and the nightlight is the perfect brightness. Only down side is it goes through batteries!

I bought this before having my daughter and it is amazing. Ollie is a beautiful, plush cuddly toy that sits in the Moses Basket and once switched on, will play a lullaby or white noise on a sound activated setting. The sound plays for 20 minutes, then goes silent and listens for baby. A simple coo from a stirring baby will wake him up and he soothes her back to sleep again. Ollie also has a gorgeous nightlight built into his tummy and other sounds such as a heartbeat but the lullaby and white noise are the only ones that work on sound activated. He also has a Velcro loop on his head to attach him to the side of a cot or basket which is great to ensure he doesn’t get pulled over a tiny baby’s face. He’s also quite big so as baby grows, he’ll become a firm best friend.

I was really excited that someone had gifted us this baby toy, but unfortunately, my baby wasn't interested. The noises didn't help soothe him to sleep etc. The design concept is great, I like the idea that it automatically senses noise and starts playing noise, but I wouldn't purchase this assuming it works for all babies as it didn't for us.

I got this owl for when my youngest was a new born, he has helped out countless times mainly for his light especially when we had a power cut and I was doing a night feed so I couldn’t use our gro light! The biggest down fall of Ollie is he eats batteries like there is no tomorrow. Still he looks good as we don’t need him any more he is just sat there looking good.

It has been the best thing I've been gifted as it sends baby straight to sleep every night and the cry sensor works great too.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone having a new baby it's fab

Ollie the owl is very soft, cute and washable. It has different sounds like heartbeat, rainfall, white noise and Lullaby. The battery does die out fast but you will need to get more batteries as a back up. You can change the volume to high and low to suit your child. Overall i really liked this product to help my child sleep well through the night.

We have Percy the penguin from the gro company which is the same but a different character. All I can say is that since we brought our son home we’ve used Percy to put him to sleep every single night without fail. It’s easy to use, it’s lovely to look at and IT WORKS!! Angus loves the heartbeat sound which is actually very clever as this is imitating the sound of mums heartbeat so soothes baby. The cry sensor is fantastic as you’re not constantly up turning it on every five minutes, as soon as it detects baby is unsettled it starts playing again. I have recommended these to all my friends and buy them as gifts. Cute outfits are nice but what better present can you give new parents than the gift of sleep!

Brought this for our son after months of him struggling to sleep and trying lots of other sleep aids!
This has worked wonders and the only sleep aid that has worked for him.
I love that there is a variety of songs and white noise options to play as well as a little night light in his belly!
It has a sensor in it too so it will re start playing the music through the night if he starts to stir, since using it he has slept every night! I can't believe the difference it has made to his sleep and wish I had brought it sooner.
I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone with a baby.
The price is amazing too for how well it works, I feel like I have seriously missed out with this company as I have only recently heard about them.
The only issue I have for this product is that it drains batteries! I am currently changing them every other day, but a small price to pay when my son is sleeping so much better.

Initially we worried that this was another one of those ‘waste of money’ purchases but my little girl loves her GroFriend! We don’t really use the different lighting options, but the heartbeat sound has been our saviour on many occasions! The sounds are soft and calming and don’t have any sort of tinny ring which I think lots of cheaper sleep aids can have. The batteries run out very quickly if using a lot, especially if it is on the ‘cry-sensor’ mode, so purchasing 4 rechargeable AA batteries would be a good move when purchasing this item! 10/10 would recommend!

I bought this for my daughter when she was a newborn and it definitely helped her sleep throughout the night because is provided continuous soothing music. The light is dim so doesn’t bother baby. The best feature was that it will detect when she gets fussy and start playing music right away so she could settle back to sleeping - however it really drains the batteries and I found myself spending a lot of money on batteries - the cat of the product itself is quite high but if it came with a charger I won’t mind paying but the added cost of batteries has put me off. I would recommend that the company have a chargeable battery that can be charged by plugging in that allows parents to use it without the wire during the night.

I love Ollie the Owl - the rain sound helps soothe my baby to sleep even in the middle of the night, and the light is so handy for late night feeds or if I need to see to pop his dummy back in.
Only thing I find a real shame is that only two of the four sounds are work with the cry sensor and the one my baby likes doesn’t - so I have to turn it on every time. Not too much of a problem whilst he’s in my room but may have to look at other devices once he’s in his own room.

This is such a brilliant purchase, one I think every parent should make. Ollie will play twenty minutes of white noise (the noise your baby will hear in the womb) and then turn off as your babies asleep. When Ollie hears your baby wakes he plays for another twenty minutes sending baby back to sleep, your baby is left feeling comforted without you having to wake to soothe them back to sleep. Also Ollie has a dim orange light which mimics the amount of light your baby will see when he or she is in your tummy. Love love love our Ollie x

I use this with my 3 month old and have done since birth. It plays lullabies, a heart beat and white noise. The white noise works wonders on my little one. Also love that it automatically turns off after a little while and of little one stirs it starts up again. It does have quite a few different buttons for options/volumes/lights and for the first couple of weeks I was forever pushing the wrong ones which can be murder when trying to get a baby to sleep but once you get used to them it’s simple. Was bought as a gift otherwise I would probably not forked our for the price.

This has been a life saver for during the night when LG wakes up. She is 18 months old and ‘Ollie’ has been part of our routine since she was about 6 months old. It also has a cry sensor, which is definitely a bonus. So far the only bad thing about this item is definitely struggling to wash it. It’s a little expensive for what it is, but definitely worth it if it works for your little one.

Our 4 month old has been a very good sleeper thanks to this product. The noise sensor is great and means we do not have to settle him back to sleep as the owl does this. It is a lovely size. The owl will help us when we move our baby into his own cot. Would be good if all sounds worked with the noise sensor.

We love Ollie! He has been a part of our bedroom routine for nearly 2 years now and remains a true friend to our toddler who loves to make him sing. It is lovely that he has the option of either white noise or music on the sensor technology and I couldn't even attempt to count the times he has helped sooth our girl back to sleep in the middle of the night saving us having to go to her cot.
