Comfortable and safe car seat. Our son was the only uninjured person in the car when we were rear ended with a lot of damage to the car so we replaced with the same car seat.

This car seat fits an isofix base for easy travel. It comes in many colours. Rain cover is available.
Seat shape seems uncomfortable. Not very padded. Straps are easy to connect.

The only good thing I found from this car seat is that it clips onto the pram, I hated it, my boy never looked comfortable in there and he would constantly cry when in there (since a new car seat he doesn’t) the hood provided no shade for him and it was so heavy to carry, even without the baby in there and although meant to last until 1 year I used it as a spare once I got a new one and there was no way I could get him in past 8 months. - Strengths:

Only improvement I would suggest is making it a bit easier to find out how to extend the headrest.

The car seat comes as part of a set and goes easily on to the pram with adapters. However compared to the joie car seat that mum bought, this one is not as padded and baby seems very squished and hunched over. - Strengths:

I love this car seat and so does my baby. Getting the ISO fix base was a must for us and is so simple to use.

I bought the Wayfarer travel system and this came free with the adapters and bag. Overall, on print the car seat looked great, but it wasn't until I put my newborn did I actually see the problems.
First off, although my daughter weighed in at 6lbs 9oz, once we had put her in her little snow suit (she was born in December), she looked really squashed and sat funny.
The fastening was irritating too. It was super fiddly and from when Emily turned a month old to 8 months, especially as she got bigger, it got more and more difficult - she looked so uncomfortable and squashed too. The hood shouldn't be called a hood as if barely shields them from anything.
I had to buy a proper sun shade to keep her cool. This was a big problem for a few friends who had the car seat. Personally, I won't be buying this again if I have another baby. Shame as I had thought so much more because of the brand.

I still have this car seat as part of my wayfarer travel system and my now 8 month old hates being in it!
For newborns it requires an insert in my opinion as it’s so upright, a small baby (7lb 3oz) bobbles around and head isn’t supported enough and just doesn’t look comfortable, it’s also extremely heavy!
Love Silver cross products but this one is not great, planning to sell this and go for Maxi Cosi Pebble for next baby. - Strengths:

I purchased this car seat as part of the wayfarer travel system. I think the car seat is great in regards to the isofix base and the fact that it goes on the pram base so easily. I would say that the inside is quite flimsy and if i had paid £150 for the single item I wouldn’t be too pleased with the longevity of the product. - Strengths:

With first baby I had the maxi cosy, this time as I decided on the silver cross pioneer it came with this car seat. My little girl seems comfy enough in it and it’s a bit bigger than the maxi cosy so hoping it lasts a bit longer but it incredibly heavy! So actually even thought she might fit in it longer I don’t think I will be able to carry it for much longer!

Highly recommend. Baby feels so secure and tight whilst strapped in. Easily attached to my Silver Cross Surf 3 pram.

I only bought this car seat as it’s the one compatible with my travel system. My child is comfortable and safe inside, is colour coordinated and has a removable head support for LO which is washable. The only downside is how heavy the seat is if not used with the travel system and seems on the small side (will not last 9months).
Overall satisfied for the first few months of use but won’t last must longer.

The car seat is lovely it was brought along with my silver cross travel system and ISO fix base it was easy to connect to chassis and basis which made it so much easier when getting in and out of the car however it was very heavy and Chucky and my son is only a couple of months old and I am wondering how much longer he will fit in the seat. - Strengths:

Have a 14 week old baby, the car seat is sturdy and definitely worth the money, took the baby insert out a few weeks ago as he was starting to look a bit squashed but much better now!

I used this product for my son with his wayfarer pram. It was just too heavy to lift to attach it to the pram. It fits into the car easily using the seatbelt. I then used it for my daughter and she hated it! She would scream everytime I put her in it, I then bought the Joie spin and she no longer cried in the car! The weight limit is more than most other group 0+ seats however the seat itself is so heavy it is pointless. I wouldn't buy it again. - Strengths:

I purchased this car seat to match our silver cross travel system. My baby is 4 months old and already needs to go into a different car seat. It is very heavy even without baby in it. The hood isn’t big enough to do anything and doesn’t cover baby’s face. I’m glad I got the isofix as it doesn’t look very safe or comfortable with a seatbelt.
Even though isofix is another £100 it’s worth it if you have this car seat. It’s not very practical while taking off the wheels of the travel system. As it’s very bulky it is very hard to press the buttons and remove at the same time. Overall I wouldn’t but this car seat again - Strengths:

I have got the Silver Cross Special Edition Pioneer Expedition and I am in love with it. Would highly recommend this product. My child is 3 and half months old and still has plenty of room and can also adjust the straps an easy to wash - Strengths:

I received the car seat as part of the travel system as I really wanted a Silver Cross pram/pushchair. I then borrowed an isofix from a friend, which has made a huge difference but the isofix is so expensive on its own. The actual car seat is heavy to carry even without baby in, the handle being chunky means we can't put a toy on It, and the hood that comes over is very small and doesn't protect baby from the elements at all. My baby is only 4 months old and already has nearly outgrown it.

Love this car seat it matches my pram but also you can see the quality of the material. Hood could be longer to reach the handle so covers baby if Sun is shining when fixed to pram.
Easy adjustable straps with a hidden compartment in the back that you just lift a leaver and straps move up or down as necessary also nicely padded for extra support and comfort, shame it doesn’t last long but all round a good car seat. - Strengths:
