I have had these around my home when my siblings were very young and also in childcare settings I have worked at. They are very good value for money, easy to use and put up. Generally speaking they do contain children in areas you wish to keep them in/out of. However, I have found that some children worked out how to operate these gates and if that failed some children worked out how to climb them! Which was very dangerous. Always keep an eye on children near these gates, otherwise they are absolutely good for the job.
