My daughter had been teething from 2 months she always had her hands in her mouth, I purchased Sophie as my nephew had one and loved it. My daughter wasnt able to hold initially with being so young but if held for her she seemed to be able to take the frustration of teething out on it. Now she is 4months and is able to hold it so chews on every bit she can and since then we have found the squeak to not work, regardless of this she still loves Sophie and laughs when she sees it coming. Wipeable on the outside and can be put in the steriliser however they do get dirty inside, my sister cut hers open and it was black like when you have toys on the shower

This giraffe is a godsend. It was recommended and I thought I would try it and my son loves it. He loves the squeaky noise and it helps with teething. My son is 4 months old.. the giraffe is light enough for him to hold and put in his own mouth to chew! I would 100% recommend!

My little one loves this but it isn’t the easiest to clean really. It is very well loved and the squeak has gone. But he still loves it. It is good for all ages. There’s only one textrue though so not as interesting as other products of the same brand

I love this and so does my 6 month old ! He always has it and it’s definitely helped with him teething ! He sleeps all through the night! It’s a lovely rubber material and I can tell it really soothes his gums ! It also squeaks which he loves and it makes him chew even more as he love the sound ! It has many different shapes and edges to bite on which is great

My baby started teething at 2 1/2 months and no teethers I had at the time fitted in his mouth or hands . Sophie was large enough to hold and get on target with smaller bits to gnaw on (front knee) . Since he has grown he is able to chew on more of her and she’s a bit more interesting .

I would like to wash her and sanitize but it is inadvisable due to potential of mould growing . I go wash her in hot soapy water and keep my thumb over her squeaky hole (which I never use because we have a dog) and then stick her on the radiator to drain any moisture that may have seeped in . Online it does state that dribble will not cause the Black mould some have encountered upon ripping open Sophie and that wiping her down is the advisable method of cleaning her. I have found her colourings are rapidly fading with wiping.

I also disagree with manufacturers view that the baby will sniff out the natural rubber smell of Sophie - I havn’t birthed a truffle pig .

Unfortunately apart of the nice design, this product has a hole in the bottom of one leg which allows the saliva and water (when cleaning) to go in and feel like a house for bacteria. Not recommended if you want your child healthy and happy. Something that the company should review and ammned

My baby likes her Sophie, it’s easy for her to grab and she likes the familiar smell. She also enjoys the squeak. The only negative is with mould concerns inside the product, so we are unable to submerge in water which makes me feel I haven’t washed the product properly

Our little one has just begun teething and was putting all toys in her mouth, but they were either too big, to fluffy or too hard for her to really get stuck into. We brought Sophie and it was straight in the mouth. My little one loves the squeak it makes when rubbing her gums on it and it is perfect for her little hands to grab. I do find the it collects lots of dust and dirt so am cleaning it all the time, am worried to do this too often though as I don’t want water to get into the squeaker. I also find that the price is far too much for a small piece of rubber.

Unsure if hygienic, as it collects dusts so easily and I am having to wash it before every use! Otherwise it’s a much loved toy by my little one, particularly for its squeaky noise! She loves to nibble on the legs especially and can easily hold on to it. Softness is great as my baby does tend to hit herself with it, so it never hurts!

This has been a family favourite and one of my sweetest memories, twice through. It is so cute, well designed for tiny hands, and does an excellent job as a teether. I would not replace it with any other. However, the price is not realistic. You feel that you are paying for the popularity of this item, not its actual cost. Which is what you get with anything really. I was lucky enough to have it gifted for both of mines. Had this been not the case, I would have not purchased it though.

My son is 3 months and teething, we got this before he was born and realised it is far too big for his small hands and mouth. He can't hold it himself and we have to put the smallest bit we can in his mouth and hold it for him, trouble is the smallest bit is the ear and that doesn't seem to satisfy him. I can see how this might work for bigger babies but it is very expensive and we got a much cheaper teething ring and glove which seem to work better.

sophie is the ideal shape for babies to hold using their hands and move with ease to their mouth. the squeak is annoying but babies need to squeeze witu some force to make it work. price is definitely the only let down.

Really a over priced dog toy for babies. My baby likes the squeaky noise sound and likes to chew on Sophie's mouth or legs. However it is difficult to clean as if water gets inside it will stop squeaking. I have heard mould can grow inside if salvia gets into the small hole where the squeaking sound comes from. I think it's overrated and priced for what it is. There are better teething toys out there.

Both my little ones love Sophie. It's very lightweight so it's easy for babies to hold in their hands and chew on. Helps promote hand/eye coordination. Downside is if water gets in mould will grow and not very good for babies and is more expensive than other teethers. However the surface is very easy to clean.

We had this bought as a gift for our son and it’s been a godsend when his teeth have given him trouble. It’s easy enough for small hands (my son is only 10months) to hold and there’s lots of different ways it can go in his mouth so he can get it exactly to the part that’s bothering him.
I like that it’s super easy to keep clean, I just give it a quick wipe over with an antibacterial wipe.
As I stated this was a gift so I didn’t pay for it but I’ve just seen the price and I think it’s far too high! I would probably pay up to £10 maximum for it.

We adore our Sophie teether. My daughter adored chewing hers when she was teething. It’s a lovely soft silicone to chew on and the feet and ears are a great size for baby to chew. My little one loved holding her legs to chew her. The only downside was the squeaker sends the dog mad lol but that’s no fault of Sophie! Just our crazy dog.

Even from opening the package, you can see why Sophie has become a family favourite. The packing is gorgeous and when you open the box you immediately smell Sophie's vanilley scent. The box also came with a card to fill out the details of baby but I imagine that's unique to the gift box version. My little boy immediately took to Sophie and chewed on her ears, although the feet are currently a bit too wide for him. For an early teether it's a great gift, especially as they can clutch onto the neck of the Giraffe easily. The squeaky noise is great to attract baby's attention but also attracts the attention of pet dogs so beware of that.

This teether has been well thought of, and as described on the packaging does engage the 5 senses as well as being a teether.

The hole which allows for the squeak to be made is harder to clean, bit I'll just keep an eye on it.

Possibly the best thing we have bought so far. Sophie is perfect for babies from about 5 months. She is soft and flexible enough for baby to hold comfortably himself and by being so bendy means he can chomp down on the best part for him. So many different shapes edges provide much needed relief. Not only is she an excellent tether she has also become our little mans best companion. We have already ordered a spare just in case she should go on an adventure.
