We got this to help us sleep knowing if the worst happened an alarm would go off. But after a few weeks our monitor sensory pad which detects breathing in the crib would go off while our baby was fine. Would scare the life out of me. I then also realized when I took my baby out of her crib it was saying she was still in there breathing. Which obviously defeats the objective. I then couldn't put my faith into this product. It's not 100% reliable . And well over priced considering ... Having said that the sound monitor works very well picks up the slightest noise. Abit fiddly to work out putting it together but once you've figured it out its straight forward

I decided to get this monitor as I had researched loads and decided this was the best one for me. however after buying the product we were advised that we needed to get a small peice of flat mdf wood for the alarm monitor part to sit on as it wouldn't sit right otherwise. we did this, it wasn't a problem, but the alarm sounded constantly for no reason, which just scared both me and my baby, after a while I just took it out and never used it. I did however use the monitor part until my daughter no longer needed it, and it will come back out of storage for the next baby.

It is very easy to use but when by baby goes near headboard it loses his sense and alarm sounds. Few “heart attacks” during the night

This piece of equipment has given me the best piece of mind possible, my 5 month old is constantly rolling onto his stomach in the night, and with him being in a different room I was worried, not anymore, the handheld you get constantly monitors temperature, movement /breathing, sound, I haven't had any false alarms or interference, I can't recommend this product enough!!! The night light is also brilliant and lights up the room.

It took me a while to decide what to get. But this stood out and at the time was on offer so was fab for the price. Was easy to set up and even now I still use it without the pad. This has been used almost from day 1 so you could say 2 years

I really don’t know how I would be without this, the alarm sounds if baby isn’t breathing, although it does go off when you take them out of their crib without turning it off, good to know it works but annoying having to rush to turn the beeping off before it wakes baby up!
Really unsure of the many functions on the remote but works perfectly for the breathing monitoring!

This is amazing, gives you such piece of mind for the safety of your child.
Both of mine had the same one from birth... 2.5 years later and it’s still going strong! Definitely built to last unlike a lot of technology.
The only trouble is we’ve just put my son into a bed and without the noise of the monitor I can’t sleep!!

I got this for when my baby went in his own bedroom. I really love the movement sensor as he sleeps on his front (which I hate) and it gives me that reassurance that baby is okay. The monitor can be used without the movement mat if wanted too, so you get a choice of what you would prefer.
The monitor is really simple to use, and the sound sensitivity settings can be changed by a simple dial on the back. There is a little nightlight attached to the section in baby's room which can be on or off, and for the adult one, we can see the temperature of baby's room which I find very helpful. Also the adult section of the monitor has volume control, mute, and a beeping alarm if the room becomes dangerously hot (30+). What is useful to know is that sometimes if you have music on in baby's room and it can't always be heard- some mummies worry the monitor isn't working, when actually it has a power-saving "sleep mode". This means the monitor activates to the sound of sudden noises like baby beginning to stir, which means we don't have to listen to all the background noise like the fan on or gentle sleep music. What I find most useful is that it runs on rechargeable batteries, so when I go outside to hang the washing out i can easily take the monitor with me- yes, the signal even reaches outside! Amazing! I honestly cannot fault this product.

I had this product 7 years ago with my first baby and then again this time with my 8 month old. It really puts your mind at ease. Its very easy to set up, and had a held monitor that you can carry around the house with you. When asleep in bed it also goes to silent so only makes a sound when the alarm goes off. The only downside to it is if the baby moves off the mat the sensor will go off. But that as only happened 3 times in my experience.

Very good baby monitor if you want just sound. Very sensitive, I've put my on the desk across to the cot and sound is brilliant. Is just shame that angles using so much power that batteries running out very quick, for me to quick. I didn't put that baby movement plate because I think the sound is enough to know what happening with baby. Price is a little bit high but quality of product is good.

Description

The Angelcare 'AC401 Baby Monitor' comes with a specially designed sensor pad that is put under the cot mattress to detect every tiny movement your baby makes, and for extra peace of mind an alarm will sound if no movement is detected for 20 seconds.

It also features eight different channels to choose from to make sure that the sounds transmitted from baby's room are crystal clear with zero interference. The movement sensor can also be temporarily turned off when you lift baby from the cot to feed or change them to prevent the alarm from sounding. The parent unit is portable so parents can move freely around the house but still monitor baby's room and an out of range alarm will sound to alert you that you are no longer connected to your baby's unit. The parent unit has a colour LED screen which will display a number of monitoring features so you can keep a close eye, even if the parent unit is on mute and it will also display the nursery temperature so you can ensure it is not too hot or cold.

Another feature of the Angelcare AC401 baby monitor is the halo shaped night light which emits a gentle glow to soothe little one, as well as allowing you to move around the nursery without having to switch on the main light.
