So my daughter was in NICU when born, we ended up ( not through a concious choice) co sleeping till she was almost 6 months; I then felt enough was enough and she needed to sleep in her own cot however I got very paranoid about her breathing as I was so used to have her close to me. I purchased this and it just gives me that peace of mind knowing she’s okay even if she’s a fidget and it sometimes goes off because she’s wriggled up the cot somehow

I have been using this for the past 3 months for my son, replacing an old Motorola monitor.
We have used the mat a couple of times but feel we don’t need it at the moment as the monitor itself picks up when our son needs us.
You are able to make this more or less sensitive at the baby and parent end. The options and settings are great as there are a few choices and sensitivities to choose from... I would recommend this monitor to any new parent.

Only used a few times as alarm kept going off. Not great if you have a fidhety sleeper like my daughter. Was great for first few nights whilst we got settled as i worried. Wouldnt really need to use if you are breadtfeeding though as i wake up quite reguarly. Good video and sound quality

Very easy to use! Great product and great quality! It gives me peace in mind when sleeping specially having a baby with a heart condition! It gives you room temperature, really great during summer time! Love the fact that I can talk with my baby through the monitor if I'm not in the room with him. Just love it!

Excellent product. It is so easy to use and set up. Shows you the temperature in the room, allows you to set the volume on the parent end. Allows you to talk to your baby too should you need to.
The lights indicate sound and they go up the scale depending on how loud the noise is so you can easy see the noise as well as hear it.

Bought this as I wanted the sensor mat for under mattress for peace of mind. And it’s a great product, pics up instantly if baby has moved off the mat, and an easy to use switch if lifting the baby out to stop the monitor making a noise.

This is a fantastic monitor! Been using it for over 2 years now and can't fault it. Great range and only pics up the noises you need to hear, not every cough and snuffle like some other monitors. The light barometer is really helpful, as is the option to have the night light function on 3 different levels. The hand set clips onto a belt or jeans pocket so you can take it everywhere. I have to say the talk back function freaks my little one out more than it soothes but again, that would be the case with any monitor. I love this product and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I find a sensor mat essential for my peace of mind. Knowing id be there in second of an alarm helps especially in the newborn worry stage. Once they can roll off the mat you no longer can rely on it but i used on for every child and it was so good.

Great baby monitor I used it when my son when into his room for the first time, gave me such peace of mind with the sensor pad, only problem which I wouldn’t say is the product itself but if baby wriggles off of it it can trigger a false alarm, but I’d rather false alarms than it not go off at all. It what’s a good range on it too.

Can use it to talk to your baby back

The Closer to Nature baby monitor and mat

I have had this product for 6years now. Brought for my first child. It still works without fail. The connection is great I can be in my back garden and it'll work easily. The parent unit charges quickly for when you have forgotten to dock it. The baby unit tells you bedroom temperature which is also handy. As well as glowing light which you can dim or brighten for babies needs. The sound is clear, with the ability to talk through to baby. I never personally found this helped settle my boy but helpful anyway for sending instructions to tidy up now that it's in the nursery and he can head from his room next door. I used to mat system for my son for the first few months in his own room. As a nervous first time parent this was a very reassuring extra.

Cons - in sleep deprived state you do often forget to turn the mat off when you pick up your screaming cherub. Leading to an irritating unnecessary alarming at 3am taking your baby from awake for a feed to wide awake for the day! I know this is more user error than manufactured error. But still something to consider, eventually when my son was 10 months I stopped using it as it caused more problems than reassurance. At least this feature is completely detachable so not something that even needs using.

Overall, a great monitor. Provides you with enough reassurance without the actual visual on baby. Very sound sensitive picks up even the smallest of noise allowing you to run in before baby fully wakes. Which is fab!

I think this is a great piece of kit and have found it very useful for the first 8 months of my sons life :) he’s been in his cot since 4 months and I think the sensitivity function comes in handy to take away that “worried mummy” sprint into their room when they make the tiniest noise in the night. We haven’t ever used the pad for heart rate since my boy rolls around so much in his sleep and am sure we would end up with the alarm going off every half an hour otherwise!

The monitor works by having a movement sensor mat that goes under babys matteress. There are however a lot of wires so it takes a bit of faffing about to get them in a safe place. As you need a plug socket for this you also need to make sure babies bed is near one. The alarm will sound if no movement for 20 seconds but i don't think its totally accurate. If baby is in bed alone it works great but if you sleep in the same room and baby is in a bedside cot or you have wobbly floor boards the sensor picks up other movements and it wont go off. On more than one occasion i have picked baby up and the alarm has not sounded at all (which it should as after 20 seconds of no movement) the monitor itself has a beep which is supposed to be babies heartbeat and transmits sounds. You can carry it around the house with you. I have to say i wouldn't recommend this. I ended up buying a video baby monitor and a sensor pad that used batteries and worked much better. All the wires bothered me and the fact that walking round or being in the same room as baby stopped sensor going off meant i didn't trust it!

I love this item it has made me relax and have piece of mind. The wire to the sensor pad is long, has a small night light on it with three settings but this isn't very bright. Alarm will alert when there has been no movement for 20seconds, this can cause distress if baby has rolled off the pad causing the alarm to alert. Sensor will pick up baby noise. The small monitor can be placed on the charging Dock and used to walk around the house or garden once charged. It shows a light green light when baby is moving and if alert goes off it turns red and has a message saying check baby. Really glad I bought this.

We wanted something simple when it came to a baby monitor. It is simple and easy to use. Simple design that can blend into any room. Hard wearing as it’s been dropped a few times and we travel with it a lot. It is a reliable monitor most of the time however it loses signal a lot! Which is very annoying as the loss of signal warning can often wake us up in the night. So even though so many good points I would not choose to buy this again. I would prefer to get one with a camera.

Great value for a sensor mat and monitor all in one. Works perfectly well and does the job but the wire is slightly too short even though our cot is right next to the socket so keep that in mind when positioning this.

I felt this product gave me the comfort I needed as I was so paranoid while my baby slept, so I was able to sleep knowing it will alarm me if all was not ok. It was easy to put together, the monitor isn’t too big, and I can talk to my baby through it which I like, would like the alarm to be a little louder and less wires as well but overall I would 100% recommend it.

I was very unsure about which baby monitor to go for so I asked my facebook community who told me to go for a sound and movement monitor. I decided on Tommee Tippee because I have used a number of their products and have not had any issues. I am so glad that I did go for this one!!! The only thing I find is that there is feedback from the parent and baby unit being too close when I go back upstairs when I get to the top the feedback is quite bad even though I am outside of my baby's room. I find the monitor is absolutely fantastic for knowing if it is the baby stirring and making a noise or whether it is background noise for instance the blue lights only light up when my baby cals out as opposed to when her mobile is being played.
I find this really helpful as the blue lights also help to wake me up even though I hear her through the monitor when you are just waking up you don't always register what the noise is but seeing the blue lights makes me know it is baby and not just music through the monitor. I highly recommend this baby monitor to any mum or dad.

I purchased this product to use with my 3rd baby. It is hands down the best monitor we have used. It is so simple to set up, and the distance in which you can hear from baby to the handheld monitor is fantastic. We tried it with our elder daughters and you could hear them whispering from a distance of about 5metres.
