I bought the Dr browns bottles in an attempt to help my son with his terrible wind problems. He was very colicky and would scream in pain. I found that these bottles helped him and could no longer hear him gulping down air when he drank. They are more fiddly to use and clean than normal bottles but the good definitely outweighed the bad for me.

I have used dr browns bottles for all 4 of my children, as they all have a cows milk protein intolerance. With my older 3 children we found these bottles to be amazing, however with my youngest who is now 6 months old, they have had lots of problems with leaking.
The overall design is fantastic at helping baby to bring up there wind & reducing colic, however the bottle leaking halfway through a feed is a massive drawback for me & having to replace bottles due to this every month is proving very expensive.

I would not recommend these unfortunately, as despite my daughter no longer being as fussy due to wind, she becomes very upset due to the milk leaking all over her.

Personally the teat was too large for my sons mouth despite it being highly recommended by HV. Bottle anti-colic which is a bonus and they were a good shape and size to hold

I have recently changed over to doctor browns when I changed to formula. I had been expressing with Medela and had no problems with Jake bottle feeding but then he kept having trapped wind and causing him to squirm and being really fussy! So I changed to the big dr brown bottles and the first time I used them as per instruction on formula I boiled the water, poured in the bottle, assembled then shook the bottle and it went EVERYWHERE! For such excellent design for wind for some reason they have left out the design of keeping the liquid in the bottle. It seems that you have to let the water cool down for at least 5 minutes then it doesn’t spurt everywhere ! I will not change them though as he does not squirm and not having trapped wind anymore. Such a shame of the design flaw

This bottle was recommended by feeding and speech therapist to my daughter in the hospital as she was premature. We started with the premie bottle and as she grew, we changed to the bigger bottle. It helped a lot with her colic but my LO stopped taking it age 2 months. She didn't like the nipple. I was on combination feed, so I was struggling with bottle feeding, tried different brands and finally settled for NUK.
Other than the nipple, I was happy with the bottle inspite of too many parts to wash and assemble.

I brought these bottles in pink for my little girl, I didn’t think they helped with her colic, they leaked everytime I made a bottle up!
I loved the design and was happy to give them a try I ended up switching to different bottles!

I bought these for my little girl as she would always seem really uncomfortable during feeding, I found out that she may have silent reflux and these bottles have worked great so far. You don’t get the suction problem so it’s a constant flow of milk without having to take the bottle out of her mouth. The downside to this bottle is the number of parts, it’s a pain having to wash up 6 parts just for 1 bottle and then assemble each time especially when baby’s hungry and you need the bottle made quickly. You have to make up the formula without the added vents as the powder may get stuck, so it’s time consuming piecing it all together. I would definitely recommend though.

My baby suffered with colic and would cry for hours every evening. The health visitor recommended dr brown bottles and he improved over a couple of weeks and was much easier to get his wind up. Although slightly expensive, they are worth the money.

These bottles were given to me by a friend after telling her about my little ones colic. They sorted her out after the first use. The natural flow and design of the bottle make it more like breast feeding, where baby can take the milk at her pace with less air and therefore less trapped wind. This equals a very happy, content baby!

These bottles are a little on the expensive side but when your child has colic your do anything to ease the pain and these did just that.
They are fiddly to clean but you get used to that.
The worst part I can't get used to is if you make a Bottle in them the leak like mad if you do the lid you so you have to make the bottle and leave the lid off which is a pain if you want to go out

My baby after about 2 weeks of being combination fed disliked Tommee Tippee bottles and after trying several other brands, Dr Browns was the winner. I bought the larger bottles straight away and just changed the teats as my baby got older.
They come with a small brush to clean the green anti-wind part.

Only complaint is once I started to wash in the dishwasher, one of the bottles lost it's volume markings.

My little boy had awful colic and wind, after trying a few bottles etc and after being recommended these bottles by a few people we decided to buy them.
They have worked wonders! I would not use anything else. Yes they are expensive but they helped my baby, and I would rather have that.

First time Mum with a baby who has Colic - after a bit of research and advice I switched to dr brown bottles from about 5 weeks and it seemed to have worked wonders for my daughter. Not a complete fix as she still has her moments however I do believe these bottles are effective. I also liked that I could get them in pink. The only negative for me is that they are so bulky and take up more space than a standard bottle in my changing bag, especially if we are out for the day and I have a few.

This is a nice sized bottle.
These are great for babies with colic as the valve inside stops the baby taking in air like other bottles.

These are better than the original dr browns bottles as these ones you can use with or without the valve unlike the original ones which you had to use the valve.

The only problem with these bottles is they can leak a bit if the milk is too hot or if you fill above the top line (it does say on the bottle not to fill above line to prevent leaks)

This bottle comes with a pipe cleaner so you can clean inside the valve.

The measurement markings are very easy to read.

This is overall a great bottle. My son took to it straight away and it’s brilliant for helping with wind. The only issue I have found is that as I use a cold water steriliser the seal shrinks and then after a few weeks the bottle leaks so I have to replace the whole straw system to stop it happening.

Overall I really love Dr. Brown bottles, with my first child (age 4) I pretty much tried every bottle going, and even though these were more expensive than the rest, I’m so glad I bought them, her reflux and colicky episodes decreased. So with my second I automatically went out and bought some for her. Theirs a couple of thing I’ve found wrong really and this I would say is to the new design compared to the one 4 years ago, is that sometimes the pressure of the milk when it’s really hot if you shake it, makes it go everywhere out of the bottle, I also found that if you had to heat up a bottle in a bottle warmer, you did also have to watch for the same thing too. Lastly I find sometimes when feeding my daughter it seems to leak where the cap screws on. However with all this, this is still the only bottle I would buy. They are well worth the price

After trying nearly every bottle put there my daughter decided that she loved these. Works really well with ready to use formulas but we've struggled with a change to.formula as the hot water tends to create pressure in the bottles. Not sure if they have helped or not with colic as.my daughter has been colicky.

I'm not sure if these really helped with colic, our daughter had really bad colic and we switched to these but it was more hitting the 12 week period that stopped it but with our son we used them from the start and he didn't have colic at all.. Both children were windy though so I wouldn't say it really helped to reduce wind..

The only bottle my baby would take, my exclusively breastfeed baby that would refuse other popular brands because of the hard nipple took to this bottle almost straight away. Great for combination feeding as there is no nipple confusion and also seemed to help with reflux.
The only downside is they are a bit pricey but for a Mum who tried every bottle I think it was well worth the extra few quid.

Description

Designed like the original Dr Brown's bottles, these feature the same innovative vent system to help prevent young babies from swallowing air and developing colic. The Dr Brown's Options+ Anti-Colic 270ml Baby Bottle vent can then be removed for older babies who can continue to enjoy feeding from their familiar bottle, but using it like a more traditional vented bottle.

Features:

- The unique Dr Browns internal vent eliminates the vacuum and air bubbles in the feed (often associated with conventional vented bottles) helping reduce colic and burping. - Internal Vent System and Silicone Teat work together allowing a controlled flow so baby can feed at their own pace.

- The internal vent and silicone teat are highly engineered to provide consistent milk flow.

- For older babies whose feeding is more developed, you may remove the vent system allowing baby to feed form a more convential vent teat bottle

- 9 out of 10 Healthcare Professionals recommend Dr Browns for the relief of wind related colic.
