G loves his summer infant Elephant, his his grey with a green back but loves it none the less. This item was fantastic during the difficult months of colic, it honestly helped distract him so much and although he still suffered we definitely seen the difference when he began using this toy - the soothing heartbeat noise was most definitely comforting to him.

G really enjoys sitting with us in the evenings and watching the lights display on the ceiling too, this toy is perfect for sensory play as well as for comforting & relaxation purposes. 10/10

The heartbeat noise settles my son well and was worth the money, but unfortunately I have to click through different sounds like a waterfall to reach it and this can disturb my son first.

We started using our slumber buddy at 4 months old. Up until then my daughter had needed to be fed to sleep, rocked or have her back gently tapped. The first night we used this (blue light, heartbeat setting) I put her into her crib wide awake, she watched the lights and gently drifted off to sleep completely independently! Other than the odd blip as children do...this has been the case from then on and my daughter is now almost 3.
It has a good range of sound settings (songs, water and heartbeat), 3 coloured light settings, volume setting and run time settings.
The only disadvantage to this slumber buddy is that unlike others, it doesn’t switch on automatically when baby stirs in the night, you have to turn it on yourself, however given that it’s less than half the price of the others, I think that’s fully acceptable. And it’s not long before a toddler can switch it on themself! My daughter does it completely independently if she happens to wake in the night.
This does require good quality batteries, otherwise it just drains them very quickly.

This elephant is affectionately known in our household as slumbdy and my daughter loves him, always taking him with her on sleepovers at granny’s!

My little girl absolutely loves this and it'll be going to her baby sister when she grows out of it. So I hope she grows out of it but she still loves it and even last night asked for her lights and music on. This has to be one of the ebay things I've bought for my child. Used almost every single night and still going after 3 years. There are 3 different colour light options and a setting for multi which is our favourite. There's also a choice of 3 songs and 2 sounds, babbling brook and heartbeat. The sound of water tends to be avoided as I don't feel it's a massive help during night time potty training, but we love all the rest regardless. Would definitely recommend this to others

Such a cute little sleep aid, the sounds are soothing - especially the water flowing one - and the lights are pretty and make for a really cosy bedtime. It's nice to have on for the last fees of the evening to wind down with. The automatic shut off is a great feature which we've used a lot, you can choose from 15, 30 and 45 minute settings.

My only issue is that it is quite expensive for what you get, the functions are pretty basic and I think I'd expect more for an item around the £20-25 mark.

I think this is a brilliant sleep aid, the lights are up on the ceiling and aren’t too bright and there are different noises/lullaby’s depending on which your baby prefers. It also has volume buttons so you can decide how loud your baby needs/wants.

This is a lovely sleep aid very cute looking I have the elephant but there is also a hippo and butterfly in the range.
It plays a choice of lullabies, running water and heartbeat sounds although the latter are a bit fake sounding but the lullabies are nice.
The star lights has a choice of three colours or you can set it to fade from.one to the other. The only downside is the lights don't move like they do in some of the other sleep aids available on the market.
Another plus point is that you can set the auto shut off to 15 30 or 45 minutes.
Is a great product for the price

My eldest sone was bought this for christmas when he was 3 months old. He is now 4 and still loves to have his elephant on to go to sleep. The variety of lullabies and sounds is excellent, and the fact you can have the lights an individual colour or cycle through all 3 is great. My son regularly woke in the night and once he had figured out which buttons to press, would put it on. I love that there is a timer and that the shortest time is 15 minutes. We have never needed to use the 30 or 45 minute settings. My son loved his slumber buddy so much that when my subsequent children were born we bought the bee and the lamb for them also, they too love them and won't go to sleep without them. I highly recommend this product and have bought them as gifts for friends children. Worth every penny spent, and they are often on sale!

This is a lovely night light that projects stars and planets onto the ceiling and surroundings. It also plays a number of different sounds such as a beating heart and lullabies. I don’t really use the sound option as it’s not something my baby takes to however it’s a great option to have. The light creates enough light to make a cosy environment for little one! It is also great to use as a sensory light if you’re doing a bit of dark play with different lights. There is no option to keep it on constantly which is a bit of a downfall but nonetheless a great night light.

I got given this as a gift. I have two one for the house the hippo and the elephant for the car. It's brilliant as it switches off over a certain period of time which is great as you don't need to spend a fortune on batteries. I would prefer it if it wasn't so loud ...even on the lowest setting . The lights are good only in an extremely dark room though

We bought this when our little girl was 10 months old to try to help her settle at night. It worked. Now at 2 she still loves to have this on her bed at night and even picks her own rhyme to listen too. Only downside is it doesn't have much choice of song so it gets a bit repetitive. Its good that it has a timer that you can set for it to go off at 15/30/45 minutes.

The slumber buddy elephant for bought for us as a gift. I love the star light projection on the ceiling but find it a bit of a pain having to press the button multiple times to switch through the different colours. You have to do the same to pick the song/sound you want it to play which is annoying and I often press too quick, miss the one I want on and have to go through them all again.
Overall a good item and a lot cheaper than other sleep aid teddies so the little niggles are forgiven

Love the lights on this product and that you can choice what volume you want it but i don't like that it only have three buttons and you have to flick though to get which on you want. I also love about this product is the look of it fights in perfectly with her elephant themed nursery.

I absolutely love this and wouldn't be without it, my daughter would wake up if she couldn't hear noise so we purchased from argos while it was on offer for 15.00 the lights are really bright and you have 3 volumes to put the different sounds on it is actually quite loud on the highest setting. She has settled down a lot now so is in her next to me for when she wakes in the morning at 4am thinking it's time to get up she loves looking at the stars and listening it's great.

We have the slumber buddies bumble bee and I absolutely love it probably more than baby does! I like the different soothing tunes, and particularly the heartbeat setting- babies find this so soothing. I bought this after a child in my nursery had it, throughout my pregnancy I used to sit with his child getting him to sleep and it soothed me too. I thought since baby heard it in the womb itd be good for him. And I'm so glad I did buy it. There are multiple different tunes, repetitive in a relaxing way, and the lights project shapes around the room. The colour setting is also lovely- we prefer the blue or green, but I know other children prefer others so it's great to have that choice. 10/10, a must buy!
(Still packed in moving boxes sadly, photos will be added when it's found).

My baby wouldn't settle at night and i couldn't work out why as he has been fed and changed. I popped him in his moses basket and placed my slumber buddy (eddie the elephant) at the top of the basket by babys head. I turned on the sound and decided to play the heartbeat sound. After about 5 mins baby was transfixed by the noise and the stars coming from the light. The product is easy to use and has a good range of choice from music to colours. The animal part of the product is lovely and soft and just feels like any other toy. I would recommend using this product on those hard nights.

I bought this for my baby as he loves the white noise app on my phone. When we got it we were a bit disappointed with the strength of the lights on the ceiling, green light is the brightest. Also the sounds aren't great on it they sound a bit tinny. I'm currently looking for a new white noise toy so I can have my phone back!!

I purchased this product on sale from a well known high street retailer for £14.99.
First impressions were that the physical quality of the toy was quite a high standard. I definitely feel safe allowing my little one to hold/chew it etc while the light and sounds are switched off. Lovely soft fabric and tactile for little fingers.
There are 3 colours of the star projection and you can also put it on a setting that rotates between the 3 colours. It is a static light show and there's noticeable differences between the brightness of the colours. On our unit the green in particular is so much brighter then the blue and red.
The sounds were disappointing to me. There's a couple of lullabies, a running water sound and a heartbeat sound. The sound quality isn't the best and while there are 3 volume options even the quietest is too loud. I don't want to move the unit across the room away from my son's view, so I've found that I play music from a different source.
However my son really seems to like his elephant, especially the light show and it is helping him drift off to sleep. If the product breaks I would purchase again, but only at a sale price and not the RRP.

This was definitely one of our best buys for our little girl, it has the options for lullabies, white noise or the heartbeat. Initially the heartbeat settled her right off and now she is still a big fan of the white noise. We also put the lights on for her if she’s still awake and sh happily talks to them in her cot before going to sleep. The batteries last well too and it looks cute.
