Love this product for the most part, as a first time mum this has stopped me constantly watching my baby sleep and meant that I can even get a few hours in myself without worrying. I feel confident that it would alarm if baby did stop moving. I can’t praise this product enough but I must say there are some negatives, firstly If the sensor pad for whatever reason moves (can happen when you change bed sheet) and you don’t realise it can alarm when yougoes baby is happily asleep, this has only happened twice to us in 12 weeks but I must say my heart did stop, I have never ran across a room so fast to get to my baby. The second fault I found is that the camera is connected to the sensor pad and depending on the set up of your cot/ nursery it can be difficult to set up the camera to actually see baby.

I love this baby monitor, I borrowed an older model without the video, but when they needed it back I bought this one and the video camera is an added bonus as you check on your baby without disturbing them.

The apnea alarm is a great feature and a great peace of mind when you son is being investigated for sleep apnea.

The down side to this monitor is you can’t turn off the baby unit if you need to pick up your child without the parent unit alarming and the pause button beeps approx. every minute.

    - This monitor is great for peace of mind, you're alerted of the sensor pad doesn’t detect movement / breathing.
    - As well as this you can use the video and sound monitor for extra reassurance.
    - Can be used with or without sensor pad.

    - Unfortunately the battery life on the parent unit is really bad, after a few months of using it it needs to be constantly plugged in.
    - The camera quality isn’t the best, it’s quite pixelated however it’s still good enough to see your little one wriggling around.
    - Sensor pad is quite big so didn’t fit in our Moses basket.
    - Can only be used with certain mattresses.

The sensor pad is the best part of this monitor. The camera doesn’t angle well. The nursery part does not move around easily and can not be placed easily on a variety of surfaces. There are not as many functions as on other monitors. The on/off buttons are not easy to find when tired and dealing with a screaming baby.

My brother and his wife had an angle care monitor and recommended the brand very highly, we decided after much research I would like to have a monitor when I can see baby and also have a sensor pad installed first time mum and all that, so we bought this product at first it was brilliant we were able to put baby in there Moses basket upstairs while I cleaned downstairs result and when he moved into his own room I could check on him before I switched the lights off to sleep myself, however from the first few month the battery life has deteriorated drastically we not have to have it all plugged into the mains at all times which at times is taxing. But that compares nothing to the two mini heart attacks this monitor has caused me, one where I was alone and the monitor sensor to say baby wasn't breathing went off the other when my partner was there and baby hadn't moved off the sensor pad it had just not picked him up and it was awful really scary moment, if I was to go back I would avoid this product on the point that the battery is appalling and that it seriously caused me two mini heart attacks and a near miss at a broken toe due to racing into my sons room when the alarm was going off, the pictures also isn't great compared to my friends motorola monitor.

We purchased the angelcare because we wanted a monitor with a sensor mat. The sensor mat was perfect and worked really well but the parent monitor seems to have a problem. Our parent monitor slowly stopped holding charge until it wouldn't even turn on unless plugged in. We complained and received a replacement but within a few weeks we had the same problem. Really disappointed as we expected better quality from angelcare.
