I love how easy the seat is to use and it’s ability to grow with my little girl, she isn’t a fan of the car but since having this seat she travels a lot better. The car seat is quite large and bulky compared to others but given the affordability and previous reviews I had read I was confident that the seat was Secure and safe. I’ve had numerous brands of seats over the years and this by far exceeds all my needs and expectations

My child easily escapes this no matter how loose or tight you have the restraints. I hardly get a car journey too and from work (15 mins long) without them escaping and standing up in the back of the car. Stop about 3-8 times every journey to and from work to secure them back in

Absolutely love this car seat for my little one, wish I’d brought one sooner for my first child. So much easier than dragging a car seat in and out of the car for them.!

I’ve had this product for a number of weeks now. We purchased it on recommendation from a colleague or mine and it has not disappointed. It fits very sturdily and with ease. Theirs plenty of padding so my daughter is very comfortable when napping and their is plenty of room for her ever growing legs. The straps and head rest are easy to adjust with just a small lever. The only negative I have, is when it is rear facing the seatbelt strap gets in the way, making it a bit awkward to get my daughter in and out at times.

I wish I got these a lot sooner!
I have two for my boys.
We got these when my youngest was around 6 months.
If I had these before he was born would have saved us money on a car seat which this has everything you need.

This is a great car seat. It's easy and light for moving between cars. It fits with a car seat, not isofix so was great for us and our older cars. It can be rear- facing for up to 18kg. We definitely made the right choice. I'm just not sure our son who's quite tall will be able to fit in this until he's 7...

This is a fantastic seat as it is suitable from birth and can tear face until 18kg which is a big thing for me as I find that is the safest way for my daughter who is almost 3 years old. She seems very comfortable whenever she is in her car seat.

Bought this seat for my baby boy who hated his carry car seat. Its much comfier for him and he's a different child to travel with now! Had a few issues getting him fitted in correctly, however the joie team were ever so helpful via email. I've tried fitting into my dad's car which is mini countryman and the seat belt is too short, so it doesn't transfer to all cars. Other than that I have no complaints, the fabric quality is good and its very sturdy and doesn't move around.

I have found it’s a relatively good product but my baby has broad shoulders and even though she’s quite young she is tall and broad, it squished her arms so she can’t move them, the baby support for it is tight and arches her back and it’s tight getting her in it, she cry’s everytime we try, though it is great once the newborn support is removed and it is great value for money

We brought this car seat as the next stage up for our son. He was still able to be rear facing when we got it so we had it fitted like that. Putting the car seat in rear facing was slightly confusing but once it was fitted it was nice and secure. We then turned it forward facing and it is sooo easy to fit into the car this way. It is light enough to easily move from car to car and quickly but securely strap in. My little boy is happy in it for long periods of time as we travel a lot and will happily fall asleep in it for hours.

      Tilt and price

      Stiff straps

    • Design
We bought this seat to use in the grandparents cars which was ideal as it's easy to move in and out due to the belt in style. It's also very lightweight and not too bulky. It can be used both rear and forward facing. It's a nice wide seat with an adjustable head rest- great for my big boy!

I find the straps difficult to extend and tighten, they are very stiff at the moment. The tilt feature is also good, but when the seat is rear facing it's so difficult to get into the tilt handle, that it's almost impossible to change the angle once the baby is in the seat.

All, in all a good chair for the price.

I think this car seat is very good, it’s super comfy for the baby, I like that it was backwards facing then forward facing. It’s also long lasting because you can use up to 7 years old, the padding is removable

    • Strengths:

Easy to install, comes with different padding for newborns. Also it grows with your child

Having recently bought this for my almost 9 month old I love it! My little one looks super comfy and the fully reclining option let's her dose off and be both safe and comfortable. The stages seat is very versatile given that it can suit the child until 4 years of age and still let them be comfortable and have lots of room. Very simple to use and I would highly recommend.

We have had our joie stages car seat for nearly a year now and love it! Couldn't ask for anything better, my little girl falls asleep every time we get in the car without fail it's that comfortable. And it's it last her until she's 12! So got plenty of use out of it yet.
My only disappointment (and now I'm picking} is that once my little girl is sitting in her seat it's really hard to adjust the straps as they don't tighten unless you stand at angle but over all
Definitely would recommend this car seat

My little one loves it, so much more space than her Newborn one, also sat more in an upright position which she likes. It is very easy to fit into the car, comes with both the seat belt fasten or the in car plug way. Comes with little storage pouches and the head rest is adjustable to support there height. It is one that will last until she is at least 4, and be rear and forward facing.
  • 4.00/5
    • Strengths:

Long lasting seat with comfortable padding and many adaptations.

    • Weaknesses:

Not isofix based and belt is hard to get tight enought so the seat don't move too much.

Really pleased of the seat, we got it after our daughter was too big for normal baby seat. To be honest, i wouldn't see myself using this to newborn baby as the position don't seem comfortable even with the extra paddings. Reason why we got this one was firstly the ability to travel rear facing as long as possible (till 18kg) as its been proven to be over 3 times more safer than forward facing. Second reason was the price. At the beginning the angle of the seat was bit too step for my 9kg baby and her head bended forward when she fell as sleep. There is only 1 position rear facing and the leg space starts to be bit tight now when my daughter is about 12kg and around 80cm. Also the seatbelt stays bit on the way when you try to put you child in the car and blocks the view little bit as well. As the seat is not isofix, it might be bit hard to get it installed tight enough. It's light to carry and have fairly good side protection for the head. Overall, this is good value for the money and we have been fairly happy with this seat. There is few things that could be better, but with this price you can't really argue with these. Good choice to parent who wants to go rear facing with option of turning the seat other way as well.

After much research we bought this seat when a newborn seat we had been gifted was outgrown. We wanted a seat that offered extended rear facing options (for safety reasons) and would work with a seat belt as our car had no isofix. We also wanted a seat to last for a number of years. This stages seat definately does the job. Our son rear faced until his legs were becoming a little cramped at about 3 yrs (he has quite long legs), when we switched to forward facing. He's still using the seat now at 4 and a half and has always been comfy even on longer journeys and we've always felt he is safe.
