This is really good if baby struggles to latch on, there is actually something for baby to latch on to. It only slightly relives pain from breastfeeding. If you’re full time breastfeeding, you need to get a few of these as otherwise you are constantly washing and sterilising for the next feed. Nice case to put them in, so portable. Descreet.

After having traumatised nipples due to my baby girl not latching on properly these were a wonderful relief. There is so much conflicting information on breast feeding, one midwife told me not to use shields and another said it was ok whilst my nipples were healing. Without shields I think I would have given up feeding due to the pain. The shields are so easy to put on and my little girl started sucking straight away. These are fantastic when you nipples need time to heal.

Firstly I’d like to thank Medela for making their design as it has definitely helped me to breast feed. When I had my first daughter breast shields were Bulky and unnatural. On having my second daughter found breast feeding much more difficult and painful and can hand it to medela for the reason I’m still breast feeding eight weeks later,
The only down side is that they seem to disappear into thin air! ??

Used them with my tongue tied baby. The only way she would feed was with these they saved my sanity until she had her tongue cut! Nice little pot that they come with to keep them in easy to clean and reasonable price

These nipple shields were a lifesaver when my nipples were in agony but my 3 week old still needed to be fed. My baby had no problem latching on when I was using the shield and the relief for my nipples was a god send. I found them easy to clean and the case was great when out and about.

My baby is 7 weeks old and at 4 weeks I was struggling to breastfeed, my nipples were very tender and I would dred to nurse. I’ve been using these for nearly two weeks (while my nipples heal) and thry work surprisingly well. Super soft so you can still feel your baby. Also if you’re worried your baby isn’t getting milk and just using you as a ‘dummy’ it’s easy enough to pull it away and see the milk caught it the nipple shaped end.

My son had a tongue tie at birth and had it not been for the shields, I would not have been able to nurse him. 4 months on and they are still going strong, in pretty much the same condition as when I bought them. Easy to use and clean and they come with a great little carry case.

    I highly recommend!

We got these when I had trouble with getting a deep latch and my nipples began to hurt. They immediately stopped the pain. The only issue I had with them is sometimes if baby's face pushed into the boob they would kneel at the edges and become unconnected.

My breastfeeding journey couldn’t have happened without this product.
With one cracked nipple and one fat nipple early on I couldn’t see how my baby would’ve able to feed. The nipple shields enable me to feed baby without any pain while we looked at other long term solutions. Once baby’s tongue tie was fixed I was able to gradually feed without the shield .... but without these my milk would have dried up during that process ... or I would have been put off with the pain. Worth having in your kit! Also has a handy storage box to keep sterilised shield(s) in.

These are great ideas , especially for babies that are tongue tied and can’t latch properly (like mine) ... the price is ok, could be a little cheaper ! Personally for me however I found them difficult to use and couldn’t put them on properly !

This product made breastfeeding possible for me. Having flat inverted nipples without these shields bf would not have been possible and I would have had to move onto bottles. Recommended them by my health visitor. They are comfortable, easy to apply and very discreet.

My daughter had a really lazy latch and so we were recommended these by the midwife. They rescued our breastfeeding journey as I don't think I could have continued.
I did try a cheaper brand first, but the fit was all wrong and they rubbed quite badly. I loved how the Medela ones came in easy sizing.
They have a great carry case which is easily found in the change bag!
    Easy to clean
They are pricier but worth the money as they do work.

These are a life saver. My baby was only 5lb born, and she was too small and my nipples too flat for her to latch on. With the help of Medela nipple shields we had breastfeeding nailed within 3 days and haven't looked back since. I definitely recommend taking some into hospital with you. Also since she latched properly on day 3 I've never experienced any pain using nipple shields. 8 months on we still use them. I also believe they help with a transition between bottles and breast.

These are fantastic, I used them when the pain had become unbearable, the first time I used one it was instant relief. I went from almost giving up to now 4 months on still breastfeeding and no longer needing them. I always carry them just in case. I wouldn't be where I am without these.

When I did get to use them did help relieve pain on one of my nipples problem is these things kept falling off and sometimes I wouldn't realise if you have an animal especially a dog that likes to chew things I wouldn't recommend these as when they do fall off and if the dog gets them they are easily destroyed.

These are the best shields on the market by far!! I have tried most of the other designs by other companies but none have the same feel, shape or ease of use as these. I have used these with all three of my children and would recommend them to anyone breastfeeding. The shape is brilliant as it leaves a space for baby’s nose. It makes it feel more natural for you and baby. They are easy to clean and sterilise. The carry case is an added bonus. Can’t recommend these enough as they have helped my feeding journey with all my children.

At a time when breastfeeding was make or break, my midwife recommended using these and I have not looked back. Baby latched on straight away making feed times 100% less stressful. The only negative is if baby is rooting or being fussy they can be knocked off quite easily.

I have been using these shields since my 5 month old was 12 days old and they are the reason I have been able to ebf for this long. He couldn’t latch without them but they are so thin and easy to use that it still felt very natural to feed even with them on. They are super easy to clean with some soap and water after each use and then sterilising once a day.
They take some practice to put on quickly when feeding out of the house but now it’s second nature.
The only improvement they could make is to put a second cut out for the chin so baby gets as much skin to skin contact as possible to the breast.

These where my absolute lifesaver, when I was breast feeding. I started to get sore 3 weeks into breast feeding and I knew I didn't want to quick because I set myself up for 6 months. My mum bought me these and my baby took to it straight away. Yes, there was still a bit of pain, but nothing to what I experienced without them.

We were actually given these by a Lactation Consultant midwife as my son had trouble latching due to having a tongue tie. They are amazing and the only reason we were able to continue our breastfeeding journey. They’re made from lovely soft plastic which clings to the breast and the cut out allows baby to smell you plus if the outer edge flips up won’t block their nose.
