These shields are amazing! Thin and easy to apply and discrete enough so that people don’t know you’re using sheilds. My daughter was born a month early and so struggled to latch on initially and with these was able to do so successfully. We used them day and night for 12 weeks until we weaned ourselves off then gradually, but still used from time to time if needed.

My nipples invert making breast feeding very difficult. The only way I could feed with one of these on. They lasted 6 weeks before I cold literally not stand the rubbing from the silicon. 6 weeks I deeply appreciated having that extra bond.

I loved these. I struggled so much with breastfeeding and was in a lot of pain. Midwife recommended these and they were just what I needed. Easy to use and protects nipples from getting dry, sore and cracked.

The only issues - they’re not very easy to put on discreetly so if you’re out in public, prepare to have to get your boob out. Secondly, my son became reliant on these so after some time, when I tried to go back to not using them, he struggled to feed properly. I switched to the bottle soon after but that’s not because of this but because of supply issues.

Excellent protection for cracked nipple which allowed me to continue breastfeeding. They are a bit tricky to out on and do slip off, but I just used Lanolin to help.
Also, they exist in different size, as nipple come in different size too!

This product made it possible to feed my daughter without these I wouldn't of been able to continue to breastfeed as she couldn't latch naturally. They are great as they aren't a standard size they have 3 different size to best match your nipple.

I bought these in a desperate attempt to keep breastfeeding through the pain of cracked nipples.
I had been worried about causing latch confusion (since ever breastfeeding consultant i had ever talked to said not to use shields) but in the middle of the night when your nipples are bleeding you'll try anything!
I used them on and off (maybe every second feed) and my daughter didn't seem to notice the difference.
Easy to use and clean and come in a handy wee case.
Provided me with enough relief to allow me to keep feeding while my nipples healed.

I was given the medela nipple shield at the hospital as baby struggled to latch on. With the shields we achieved a good latch and could establish feeding and milk supply. We used them for 6 weeks and baby weaned off really easily.
I would recommend those shields for anyone struggling with a latch due to flat nipples.

It allowed me to breastfeed as my lo was unable to latch o. My breast when she was little. Nothing you as a mum should blame yourself for. It is them, sometimes they are not skilled (no one taught them to be fair)

I used these to help my son latch on. They were great and helped when my nipples were sore from feeding too. They were easy to clean and sterilise and were easy to put in changing bag with their case. They were very thin and comfortable, so thin in fact that i sometimes could not see them right in front of me.
    Overall I recommend this product.

We were actually given these by a Lactation Consultant midwife as my son had trouble latching due to having a tongue tie. They are amazing and the only reason we were able to continue our breastfeeding journey. They’re made from lovely soft plastic which clings to the breast and the cut out allows baby to smell you plus if the outer edge flips up won’t block their nose.

These where my absolute lifesaver, when I was breast feeding. I started to get sore 3 weeks into breast feeding and I knew I didn't want to quick because I set myself up for 6 months. My mum bought me these and my baby took to it straight away. Yes, there was still a bit of pain, but nothing to what I experienced without them.

These are a life saver. My baby was only 5lb born, and she was too small and my nipples too flat for her to latch on. With the help of Medela nipple shields we had breastfeeding nailed within 3 days and haven't looked back since. I definitely recommend taking some into hospital with you. Also since she latched properly on day 3 I've never experienced any pain using nipple shields. 8 months on we still use them. I also believe they help with a transition between bottles and breast.

This product made breastfeeding possible for me. Having flat inverted nipples without these shields bf would not have been possible and I would have had to move onto bottles. Recommended them by my health visitor. They are comfortable, easy to apply and very discreet.

My breastfeeding journey couldn’t have happened without this product.
With one cracked nipple and one fat nipple early on I couldn’t see how my baby would’ve able to feed. The nipple shields enable me to feed baby without any pain while we looked at other long term solutions. Once baby’s tongue tie was fixed I was able to gradually feed without the shield .... but without these my milk would have dried up during that process ... or I would have been put off with the pain. Worth having in your kit! Also has a handy storage box to keep sterilised shield(s) in.

My son had a tongue tie at birth and had it not been for the shields, I would not have been able to nurse him. 4 months on and they are still going strong, in pretty much the same condition as when I bought them. Easy to use and clean and they come with a great little carry case.

    I highly recommend!

My baby is 7 weeks old and at 4 weeks I was struggling to breastfeed, my nipples were very tender and I would dred to nurse. I’ve been using these for nearly two weeks (while my nipples heal) and thry work surprisingly well. Super soft so you can still feel your baby. Also if you’re worried your baby isn’t getting milk and just using you as a ‘dummy’ it’s easy enough to pull it away and see the milk caught it the nipple shaped end.

These nipple shields were a lifesaver when my nipples were in agony but my 3 week old still needed to be fed. My baby had no problem latching on when I was using the shield and the relief for my nipples was a god send. I found them easy to clean and the case was great when out and about.

After having traumatised nipples due to my baby girl not latching on properly these were a wonderful relief. There is so much conflicting information on breast feeding, one midwife told me not to use shields and another said it was ok whilst my nipples were healing. Without shields I think I would have given up feeding due to the pain. The shields are so easy to put on and my little girl started sucking straight away. These are fantastic when you nipples need time to heal.

These nipple shields were given to me by a breast feeding support worker four days after giving birth, as my baby would not latch due to me having small and flat nipples and my daughter having a shallow latch/small mouth. These helped immediately and I fed my daughter using them for four weeks, then we were suddenly able to feed without them.
I went for the medium size 20mm, which fit great and are the most commonly used size. I recommend rubbing a bit of milk or nipple cream to the side that you want to stick to the nipple as it helps to stay in place.
This shield is at a great price and you get two and a little storage box so you can keep them sterile.
Better than any other shield I used. Avoid Boot’s own.

After trying to breastfeed a newborn who was significantly tongue tied I very quickly got sore, bleeding nipples. These really helped me heal while my baby learnt to latch on properly. I also wasnt able to produce much milk, so my son was feeding for such long, frequant periods of time. I would have given up trying to breastfeed much quicker without these. Im so glad I got them. They are easy to use, clean and I like that it comes with a case to keeps them clean and secure.
